If you’re planning your next Walt Disney World vacation; sometimes, figuring out where to stay can be a little overwhelming. There are so many incredible Walt Disney World Resorts, and this may be helpful if you have been wondering about Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside. Lisa Mendillo shared more with Disney Parks Blog.
We’re taking a short stroll over from Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter to the beautiful grounds of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Whether you are looking to stay in the stately white-column mansions of Magnolia Bend or the adorable cottages in Alligator Bayou, this resort will have you feeling like you are relaxing in rural Louisiana. But, we all know you are staying in the heart of the magic of Walt Disney World Resort! Located in the Disney Springs Resort Area, this resort offers gorgeous views along with boat transportation to Disney Springs and complimentary bus transportation to all four theme parks.
While Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside offers a wide variety of rooms, sleeping anywhere from two to five people, one of our favorite room selections is truly one fit for royalty. Let us introduce you to the Royal Guest Rooms. Dreams will come easy when you close your eyes surrounded by royal-themed décor, including silhouettes of favorite princes and princesses.
planDisney Tip: Don’t miss finding every royal detail in the Royal Guest rooms. One of our favorite royal highlights? Gold faucets resembling a very famous lamp.
Dog-friendly accommodations can also be found at this resort. Your four-legged babies, up to two fully-vaccinated dogs per room, will love being close to outdoor walkways, green spaces, and pet relief areas.
We can’t talk about resorts without talking about dining locations. At Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, guests will enjoy dining at Riverside Mill Food Court. Open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., this dining location offers American fare inspired by Southern Louisiana-style cooking. Five stations allow guests the options of a bakery, grill, pizza, pasta, specialties and sandwiches. Grab n’ go is available as well as Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering.
Five pools, the Fishin’ Hole at Ol’ Man Island, a playground and more, give every guest an opportunity to find an activity that fits their vacation style. Also be sure to check out Movies Under the Stars, Campfire on de’ Bayou, and bike rentals!
