There is nothing better than getting to meet your favorite Disney character. At Disney Parks, Guests often have the chance to do just that. Characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have meet-and-greet opportunities throughout the Parks. Other characters, like some of the Disney Princesses, have their designated meet and greet areas where Guests can line up to hug their best friend and snap a few photos with them.

With Halloween swiftly approaching, there is maybe the second best thing to meeting your favorite character, and that is dressing up as them! If there is one thing Disney is best known for, it’s the beloved characters Walt Disney Animators have created. Starting from the very beginning with Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937) up to more recent films like Encanto (2021), Disney has given us many reasons to love these characters, both classic and newly introduced.

Celebrate Halloween at Disney

As Halloween approaches, Disney is already celebrating the fall season. Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort alike have transformed the Parks with Mickey-shaped pumpkins, foliage, and autumn flare. Favorites like pumpkin-spiced treats have made a return, and Guests are ready to celebrate. Walt Disney World offers Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, while Disneyland has Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. Both events take place through September and October, on select evenings, as a special ticketed event.

Both celebrations encourage the young Guests visiting to dress up and partake in the fun. Trick or treating, along with special entertainment, snacks, and nighttime spectaculars, are only a few of the ways to enjoy the Halloween sensation. Disney characters like Mickey and Friends, as well as Disney Villains, will make an appearance, and many will be dressed up in their best Halloween costume for the season. So the real question is, what will yours be?
