What would Disney be without our Disney princesses? As a Disney fan, everyone has their favorite princess. The first princess Disney created was ‘Snow White’ which was released in 1937. Since then, Disney has created so many more fearless princesses that give us all a little inspiration.

The Disney princesses include Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Mulan, Tiana, Jasmine, Elsa, Anna, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Merida, Briar Rose, Moana, and Snow White. Although we love them all, there are plenty of facts you may not know about your princess. Check out these fun facts about Disney princesses.

1. Many of the Disney princesses’ outfits feature the color blue, which may be a sign of empowerment.

Blue has become a significant color that many princesses wear. According to Insider, adding the color blue says, “It’s a very subtle way of saying, ‘Yeah, but young women, young girls, can be empowered, too.”

2. Anna is the only Disney princess who has a duet with a villain.

Well, at least she didn’t marry him!

3. In ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (1991), Belle’s blue dress symbolizes her outsider status.

Belle stands out in blue in her film, while most of the ordinary folks in town are seen in more grayscale colors.

4. Mulan and Princess Tiana are the only left-handed princesses.

That’s what must have made Mulan such a great warrior and Tiana such a fantastic cook!
