Walt Disney World

Final Update: Disney Store Breaks Silence on Long Standing 2025 Orlando Closure

Some corners of Walt Disney World never get the attention they deserve. Everyone knows the parks, but the resort areas around them can hold just as many surprises, from a place to grab dessert to a spot to wander when the day is winding down. Disney’s BoardWalk is one of those corners, and we think it’s severely underrated.

It’s also a place in transition. A new lounge has opened, a bakery has been doing very well, and two BoardWalk businesses have left their original homes. One of them just got an update, and it’s good news for art lovers. Here’s what we’ve learned about the Promenade Fine Art Gallery, where it’s going, and how it fits into a changing BoardWalk.

Quick Reference

  • New name: Imagination Fine Art Gallery
  • New location: 605 Market Street, Celebration, FL
  • Owners: Longtime Gallery Director Joshua Segal and Alex “Lex” Tiffin
  • Expected opening: Sometime in December, per Charles, with no official date yet
  • Artists: The same ones guests often see during EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts
  • Disney connection: Continued work with Disney Fine Art

The News: A New Home

Thanks to @charlesknowsart on Instagram, we now know that the Promenade Fine Art Gallery is moving to downtown Celebration, Florida, under a new name: Imagination Fine Art Gallery.

The gallery is owned by longtime Gallery Director Joshua Segal and Alex “Lex” Tiffin, who previously owned the Disney store version of the location. It will be located at 605 Market Street, Celebration, FL.

When Will It Open?

An opening date hasn’t been released. When we spoke to Charles ourselves, he told us the expected opening timeline is currently sometime in December. That’s an expectation and not a confirmed date, so it could change.

What Stays the Same

The gallery will continue to work with Disney Fine Art, Charles told us, and will showcase the same artists guests often see during EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts. For guests who have followed those artists at the festival, that could be a way to keep seeing their work beyond it.

The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed its doors on October 20, 2025, and it wasn’t closing for good, just moving locations. Since then, we hadn’t heard anything about the new location until now.

We’re glad to see this beloved, historic gallery opening somewhere new, since it was a staple on the BoardWalk from its opening in 1996. Photos of the now-closed gallery show an Ariel sculpture, one of the pieces guests may remember seeing there.

The Second BoardWalk Departure

This now marks the second BoardWalk location that has left its original home and moved. Jellyrolls closed in April 2025. It was announced this April that the popular nighttime spot is moving just 10 minutes away from Disney World resort, so for anyone missing it, it isn’t going away for good.

New Arrivals on the BoardWalk

Not everything on the BoardWalk is leaving. Hurly-Burly, a new lounge, opened at the beginning of October. And The Cake Bake Shop has been doing very well, in our view, since its opening in October 2024.

Some of those new additions have been doing a great job of revitalizing the BoardWalk, we think, though that’s our opinion and not a measurement.

The BoardWalk Timeline

Here are the dates we have, in order:

  • 1996: The Promenade Fine Art Gallery opens on the BoardWalk.
  • October 2024: The Cake Bake Shop opens.
  • April 2025: Jellyrolls closes.
  • October 20, 2025: The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closes its doors, with plans to move.
  • April (this year): The move of Jellyrolls, about 10 minutes from Disney World resort, is announced.
  • Beginning of October: Hurly-Burly, a new lounge, opens.
  • Expected December: Imagination Fine Art Gallery is expected to open in Celebration.

A Quick Word on Wording

Three words matter in this story. “Moving” describes the gallery’s relocation, which came to us through an Instagram post and our own conversation with Charles. “Expected” describes the December timeline, which is a plan and not a confirmed date. And “we think” marks our own opinions, like our view of the BoardWalk and the new additions.

What We Don’t Know Yet

Several questions remain open. An official opening date hasn’t been released, and December is only an expected timeline. We don’t know what the new space will look like inside, what it will carry, or whether its hours will resemble the BoardWalk gallery’s.

We also don’t know any details about Jellyrolls’ new location beyond the fact that it’s moving about 10 minutes from Disney World resort. And we can’t say what, if anything, will take over the BoardWalk gallery’s former space.

If You’re Planning a Visit

Since the Promenade Fine Art Gallery is no longer on the BoardWalk, guests looking for its artwork there won’t find it. The new gallery is slated for 605 Market Street in downtown Celebration, with an expected opening sometime in December.

Before you make the trip, check for an official opening announcement and hours, since the date hasn’t been confirmed. If you’re a fan of the artists featured at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, the new gallery’s continued work with Disney Fine Art is worth keeping an eye on.
