This year’s runDisney 2022 Wine & Dine Half Marathon will center on the cuisine, music, and tales located within EPCOT’s World Showcase during the International Food & Wine Festival. The theme draws its inspiration from the heart of the human spirit, which is fitting as the runDisney community operates much like a family.

Disney Parks Blog just gave us an exciting look at the beautiful, new Disney-themed medals that will be awarded to finishers of the various courses. The marathon includes four different races, a 5k, 10k, half marathon, and two-course challenge.

The weekend event takes place November 4-6 and includes a post-race party. Virtual races will also be available for the public to participate in the entire weekend.

The Disney Wine & Dine 5k includes a 3.1-mile race beginning on November 4. Pixar’s Coco (2017) represents the theme for this event, donning a festive finisher medal adorned with Miguel’s face along with several guitars.

The 10k race, which takes place on November 5, includes a 6.2-mile course. Southeast Asia influences this particular medal, with Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) completing its theme.

For the half marathon, which commences on November 6, runners will participate in a 13.1-mile race. An ode to Pixar’s Soul (2020) and “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” in the American Adventure Pavilion, the medal features main character Joe Gardner working his magic on the ivory keys.

Disney’s Two Course Challenge, which runs for two days from November 5-6, features a beloved character from  Aladdin (1992). This medal is particularly stunning! With a locket design, it opens to reveal the Genie in all his glory!
