Big news announced this morning from Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis. DeSantis took to social media to announce that as of Monday, April 5, all adult Floridians will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination. This comes on the heels of recent requests from Disney Union to include Cast Members in the right now vaccination group. It looks like Cast Members under 40 years of age may have to wait just over a week to finally be eligible!

As shared via Ron DeSantis Twitter: “I’m pleased to announce that beginning this Monday, March 29, all Floridians age 40 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Beginning the following Monday, April 5, all Floridians age 18 and older will be eligible.” See video announcement below.

As the vaccine rolls out to more and more people, we suspect the crowds will continue to flock to Walt Disney World and fill the parks. With the parks’ capacity currently at 35%, we can’t help but wonder if Disney will increase their capacity percentage in the near future. We’ll keep you posted!
