It has been an exciting summer so far at the Walt Disney World Resort! With lots of returning restaurants, attractions, backstage tours, and more, this summer has included a number of exciting updates out of Disney Parks and Resorts.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of the most beloved experiences that returned to Walt Disney World earlier this summer. This iconic dinner show is performed nightly at Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, offering Guests one of the most memorable Disney performances alongside a delicious menu of family-style eats, including fried chicken, ribs, baked beans, mashed potatoes, and more topped off with strawberry shortcake and refills of beer and sangria (for Guests who are of age.)

As expected, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue has been incredibly popular among Guests since the show returned to Disney World, so some nights have already been sold out. Recently, Disney was able to open up additional seating for the show allowing more Guests to take in all of the fun each night and enjoy more affordable pricing!

The change to the available seating options for the show includes the addition of Category 3 seating on the upper balcony level of Pioneer Hall. Take a look at the pricing based on each section of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue in the chart below:

Category 3 seating, we should note, is on the second floor of the space, requiring guests to walk upstairs as there is no elevator access inside Pioneer Hall. Guests who are unable to make the stairs should choose seats in Category 1 or 2.

Since Category 3 seats quietly opened up on Walt Disney World’s official website, it is possible that the change was due to increased staffing. Where Disney Parks and Resorts have been experiencing a staffing shortage for the past couple of years, things are starting to look up, especially recently with the return of the Cultural Representative program.

As staffing increases around Disney World, we expect to see restaurants, shops, and experiences that remain missing from the theme parks and resorts begin to reopen.
