On DOLE Whip Day, which was yesterday, July 20, 2023, Disney Eats shared that this vibrant snack has been around for 40 years! Since its beginning roots in 1984, to be specific, the treat has had so many different variations. It first arrived at Disney World to reach Disneyland in 1986. To follow was Aulani in 2011 and the Disney Cruise Line short after in 2017. 2023 marks the official 3rd Thursday of July, designated National DOLE Whip Day, Disney Parks Blog reports.
Disney has given fans a sneak peek into how it’s created, how you can make it from home, and other treats inspired by the pineapple delight. Like the cupcake at Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, fans can enjoy the fun by creating the recipe from home.

To add excitement to the celebration, Disney Dining chimed in with even more news. “That’s why it’s always exciting when Disney announces that instead of just one day, they’re going to celebrate for a WHOLE WEEK!!!!” they wrote, including all the stops to pick up your DOLE Whip in the Parks.

How Disney Celebrated DOLE Whip Day
One of Disney World’s Resorts is serving up a DOLE Whip until July 23. At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Guests can indulge in the Olu Mel DOLE Whip from Pineapple Lanai. At Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Guests can celebrate the sweet treat with an Upside-down Cone at Happy Landings!
