The green dinosaur! In the Echo Lake section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can find a larger than life green dinosaur with an ice cream counter inside of her. The dinosaur’s name is Gertie and she was created by Windsor McCoy in the early 1900s as part of his vaudeville act. Gertie would be animated on a screen and McCoy would act out scenes in front of her to make it look as though he was interacting with Gertie in real life.
