
New smart TVs are slowly being introduced to Walt Disney World Resorts in Guest’s stay rooms. These interactive TV systems have a more personalized and easy to use experience that welcomes Guests to the room, offers access to free content, connects to different streaming content, and more.

Walt Disney World announced that these TVs will soon be available at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. These TVs are already at Disney’s Riviera Resort in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
Although you are not coming to Walt Disney World to watch TV all day, this is great if you’re waiting for the rest of your party to get ready or are trying to wind down after a fun day at the parks. If you want to enjoy some of the available streaming services, you can. They will connect to Disney+, Hulu, etc. There are also standard channels, Park hours, Resort amenities, and other information available.
Tablets, laptops, and smartphones are supported to stream. Only contents from Chromecast enabled apps can be sent to the TV. Mirroring from your smartphone will not work.
Connect My Device and Guest credential pairings will be cleared after check out, so you don’t need to worry about any of your personal information being left behind and other Guests being able to get a hold of it. When the Guests logs into their device; this information will not be stored in Disney’s system.
It is safe to assume that Walt Disney World will slowly be rolling out to more and more of the Disney Resort Hotels. Technology has come a long way, and Disney likes doing different pairings for their Guests. Don’t get into a binge watch of your favorite show, though. Remember you are at Walt Disney World, and you should enjoy everything that the Parks and Resorts have to offer.
