Visiting Walt Disney World this week? That Magic Kingdom is closing early today, January 31, 2023, so you may need to make other plans if you were hoping to spend the evening in the Resort’s flagship Park.

According to the My Disney Experience app and Disney’s official website, the Magic Kingdom is set to close at 4:30 p.m. today.
While the Park calendar does not give the reason for the early closure when there is no special ticketed event planned, it is typically for a private event, whether it be a corporate buyout or a Cast Member appreciation event. Guests can still visit the Magic Kingdom all the way up until its early closing time, however, if you were planning to park hop and spend the evening in this Disney Park today, you may be better off changing your plans.

The other three theme parks at Walt Disney World are open for regular hours today, so if you were looking for some evening entertainment (perhaps in place of the Disney Enchantment fireworks in the Magic Kingdom) you have some options.
EPCOT is open tonight until 9:00 p.m. with Harmonious also running at 9:00 p.m., and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is open until 9:00 as well with showings of Fantasmic! at 8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. For an earlier night (but still later than the 4:30 closure at the Magic Kingdom), Disney’s Animal Kingdom is open until 7:00 p.m. (Note that some attractions in Animal Kingdom may close earlier than the rest of the Park.)
