In a strategic move to enhance subscriber engagement and address recent challenges, The Walt Disney Company has unveiled a comprehensive perks program for its streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu. This initiative aims to provide added value to subscribers through exclusive discounts, sweepstakes, and special offers.
Addressing Challenges in Disney Parks and Streaming
Disney has faced notable challenges in recent years. While attendance at Walt Disney World Resort has seen some recovery post-pandemic, certain parks like Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom experienced declines in 2023.
Simultaneously, Disney+ reported a loss of 700,000 subscribers in the last quarter of 2024, highlighting the need for strategies to retain and attract users.
