Mickey Mouse is up to something good! Or that’s where his heart is at. To celebrate International Friendship Day on July 30, 2023, Mickey Mouse and Friends have released a playlist to commemorate.
It’s no secret Mickey Mouse and Friends are the best crew around, always having loads of fun and often getting into some sticky situations. The group includes Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. For this year’s International Friendship Day, Disney fans can join in on the fun with the gang by downloading their new Spotify playlist.

The Spotify playlist includes artists Post Malone, Niall Horan, Hailee Steinfeld, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, and more. While many of the songs feature songs from artists who have been involved with Disney, like Miley Cyrus, many songs represent the Disney vibes, like Under the Sea by Daveed Diggs.
Mickey Mouse posted the playlist to his Instagram account here, and fans have mixed reviews.

Mickey & Friends Spotify Playlist
The playlist with 67 songs was created to kick off a fun road trip with friends. Some fans feel that the playlist doesn’t scream Disney and find that disappointing. Disney Dining reports, “We really aren’t sure what makes this Disney. We initially thought all of the artists once worked with Disney, but a quick search told us that’s not the case.” Sure, not all artists are affiliated with Disney, but maybe this is more of a mashup showing off Mickey and Friends’ diverse taste in music.
Instagram user buonasaralita wrote, “ I love that not all the songs are strictly Disney. OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried” being on this playlist means clearly Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, and Donald are Top Gun: Maverick fans.”
While this fan seems to dig the playlist, not everyone agrees. Instagram user Anthony_poole13 wrote, “How you gonna have this playlist and not even have Goofy and Max singing, On the Open Road?”

While Disney tries to please everyone and give an option to all, maybe this playlist isn’t as well-rounded. Either way, it’s a fun group of songs to listen to with friends and family, giving an upbeat summer vibe we can all appreciate.
