The top of the popcorn coach comes off for filling, holding, and enjoying your Disney World popcorn. It also has a lanyard strap that reads “100 Years of Wonder.”

Popcorn Problems

Guests of Disney Parks are no strangers to commemorative popcorn buckets. Through the many years and celebrations, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney World had unique offerings, including the Figment Popcorn Bucket in EPCOT, the R2-D2 Popcorn Bucket to celebrate Star Wars Weekends, and Toy Story Alien Popcorn Buckets when Toy Story Land opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Some of these versions have been welcomed with lines that stretch miles throughout the parks, hoarding by collectors, and massive re-sale markets online.

Popcorn may be among the least exciting snacks at Disneyland Park or Walt Disney World. But the Walt Disney Company continually looks for ways to “plus” up every business area.

This special edition popcorn bucket is already available at Disneyland Resort in California. The Walt Disney World version will be available for Disney Park fans starting May 11, 2023. Mobile orders will not be available.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
