COVID-19 has taken over our world for over a year and a half now. It has taken so many lives and put a hold on so many plans. The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for children ages 5 to 11. The only brand that has been approved is Pfizer, and it is a low dose.

Many families have been waiting on their Walt Disney World vacation until their children can be vaccinated. Now that that time is here, many families can feel safer traveling to Central Florida. Masks are still required in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World.

There’s no word yet on how Disney Cruise Line will handle vaccines for children. Currently, everyone 18 and up must be fully vaccinated and take a rapid test to board a Disney Cruise. Children would have to have a negative PCR test and take a rapid test upon arrival. Disney has not said how these new guidelines will affect the rules.

You are not required to be vaccinated to enter Walt Disney World or any of the Theme Parks in Central Florida. Numbers have been the lowest in the area they’ve been in months, with a positivity rate of 3.0%, so hopefully, things will start getting back to normal soon. Make sure to do your part to protect yourself and other Guests and Cast Members. Remember, Cast Members are just doing their job, and be kind to them.

Since Walt Disney World reopened, they implemented a Park Pass Reservation system, which is still in place. You are not allowed to enter a Park without your part pass reservation, and after 2 p.m., if you have purchased Park Hopper, you can go to another Park. We are just thankful that we can enjoy what Walt Disney World has to offer again.
