A Disney vacation to Walt Disney World is always needed. But sometimes, you need time within your vacation to take things a little slower. There’s no doubt that a Walt Disney World Resort trip is a busy one, and we can often leave needing another vacation!

Cruising with Disney Cruise Line is a great way to take a slower vacation still filled with magic. However, depending on when you are looking to cruise, a pretty big price tag may come with the pleasure. So, if you’re looking for that perfect getaway that will still provide you with the Disney experience you long for, we have the perfect suggestion for you!

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is just two hours from Lake Buena Vista. Part of the Disney Vacation Club, this resort on the Atlantic Coast offers Deluxe Studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom Villas, and even Beach Cottages for Guests to stay in.

Don’t worry if you aren’t a Disney Vacation Club Member; you can book your visit via Disney’s Vero Beach website. Alternatively, here at Disney Tips, we recommend renting Disney Vacation Club points using David’s Vacation Club Rentals. Other sites are available too if they don’t have availability for the dates you are looking to stay.

Why visit Disney’s Vero Beach?

Picture a white-sanded beach on the shores of sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Relax in an elegant resort that offers spacious guest rooms, giving you the feeling of being at home. Sip on cocktails by the pool or enjoy a round of golf at the challenging golf courses nearby.

If you want to stay active, rent bicycles and explore the local community, or take part in water sports at the Disney Resort and get ready to splash in the Atlantic Ocean.

How long should we stay?

There is so much to offer at Disney’s Vero Beach that anywhere between one and three nights would be ideal. One night will offer you time to relax and recuperate, enjoy the pool and beach areas, and explore all that the Disney Resort has to offer. Two or three nights would suit families wanting to participate in water sports, cycling, and golf, and a much-needed break from reality.

What if we don’t have a car?

Not to worry! We highly recommend renting a car from The Car Care Centre near Magic Kingdom Park in Lake Buena Vista. Alamo, Enterprise, and National offer rentals.

If you are staying in a Walt Disney Resort hotel, a complimentary shuttle service provides easy access to The Car Care Centre. You can also arrange for pick up from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. The Car Care Centre is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day, so you can easily arrange transport to visit Disney’s Vero Beach.

Where can we dine during our stay?

Disney’s Vero Beach offers plenty of dining options, including a full-service restaurant, a quick-service restaurant, and two bars.

Wind & Waves Grill Restaurant is a charming bistro that is open for breakfast and dinner. It specializes in serving up seafood dishes to tie in with the coastal ambiance that the restaurant offers. Pizza, burgers, and pasta can also be found on the menu for those Guests who prefer to pass on seafood. Advance reservations are highly recommended to dine at Wind & Waves Grill; however, walk-ins are also welcome as long as there are tables available.

The Wind & Waves Market is a quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Vero Beach. It is a great place to pick up light meals and snacks that can be enjoyed poolside or in the comfort of your Resort room.

Be sure to check out a special snack at the Disney Resort, too: Mickey Whoopie Pies. Perfect for any lover of Mickey-shaped food, this chocolate pie has a creamy filling and is decorated to replicate Mickey Mouse, including Mickey sprinkles.

If you’re poolside and need an ice-cold drink, there’s no need to venture inside. Stop by The Poolside Bar, which offers non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including specialty cocktails. There’s something to help keep everyone hydrated while enjoying the scorching sun.

The Green Cabin Room is the perfect place to retreat to after dinner, to enjoy a cocktail or nightcap before retiring to bed after a wonderful day in the sea air. Grab a seat inside and enjoy the decor inspired by the Spanish galleons from shipwrecked vessels such as the San Martin that had sailed across the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Alternatively, take a seat on the deck, offering beautiful views of the sunset.

This is also a great place to enjoy light bites and desserts. If you prefer to enjoy a hot beverage before bed, then place your order and enjoy out on the terrace in the moonlight whilst relaxing to the sounds of the waves in the evening air.

Of course, you can also enjoy local restaurants outside of the Disney Resort. A Publix store is close by, making it easy for you to pick up groceries and use the kitchen facilities in your Resort room.

Make yourself at home in beautiful Guest Rooms

As Disney’s Vero Beach is a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you are sure to occupy a Guest room that provides you with excellent comfort. A Deluxe Studio provides Guests with a Queen Bed and Double Size Sleeper Sofa, in addition to a kitchenette, seating area, and balcony with a garden or ocean view.
