Some of the most beloved live performances at Disney Parks have been hosted by the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure. Whether you associate the theater with past performances of Aladdin or Frozen, or are simply looking forward to something new, there is no question that this venue has been the place to be for several favorite shows at the Disneyland Resort.

The last production at this location was Frozen – Live at the Hyperion, which ended its run on March 14, 2020 when the Disneyland Resort closed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the Parks had reopened the following year, fans had been speculating what would take its place.

Earlier this year, Disney began posting auditions for the next musical to arrive at the Hyperion, which led many fans to believe that Hercules (1997) would be the theme of the new show. While Disney’s audition information was rather cryptic, some fans picked up that the new production could actually be Rogers: The Musical.

Today, February 23, 2023, Disney shared a teaser for a new one-act musical coming to the Hyperion, officially confirming that Rogers: The Musical could soon be a part of your trip to the Disneyland Resort:

Additional details will come at a later date, but both Disney and Marvel have shared that Rogers: The Musical will be a real-life version of the fictitious musical focused on Steve Rogers, aka the first Captain America. The live performance at Disney California Adventure will be a special one-act show with a limited run lasting at least through the summer.

Rogers: The Musical first debuted to fans around the world when Disney+ began streaming its original series Hawkeye (2022). In the show’s first episode, Clint Barton (Hawkeye) attends a premiere of the show with viewers treated to a hilarious rendition of the Avengers’ Battle of New York.

We at Disney Tips will continue to monitor updates on Rogers: The Musical leading up to its premiere at the Hyperion Theater this summer.
