It is no secret fans are ready for the premiere of Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’ (2023). Coming to theaters on July 28, Cast Members, Imagineers, and actors have gotten fans ready for the big release. As a part of the promotional tour, ‘Haunted Mansion’ had its movie premiere at Disneyland.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA Strike, the film’s actors could not attend. Although the director Justin Simien appeared on behalf of his crew, another important group was able to make the event. Earlier in the month, Disney surprised ten lucky Cast Members from Disney Parks all over the world to attend the ‘Haunted Mansion’ premiere in Disneyland.
It’s safe to say the Cast Members were excited and grateful, to say the least, as told by Disney Parks Blog. Now that the premiere has wrapped up look at the ghoulishly delightful weekend these deserving Cast Members had.

‘Haunted Mansion’ Premiere Experience
Living the ultimate #DisneyCastLife, these ten Cast Members first attended the red carpet event at New Orleans Square. “It’s still hard to believe, honestly, even standing here right now,” said Matt Desilets, a 17-year Walt Disney World Cast Member representing the Magic Kingdom Park attraction. The Cast Members met some pivotal roles in The Walt Disney Company, like chairman Josh D’Amaro and Imagineer Tania McKnight Norris.

What’s more, is the bonds that each of these Cast Members began to create throughout the weekend spent together. The Cast Members were representing their home Parks, from Walt Disney World to Hong Kong Disneyland. Disney reported that “The Cast Members all came bearing gifts for one other, including stickers, toys, nametag flags, and special mementos from their home parks.”

While the Cast Members continuously shared their excitement for the invitation and for many, their first trip to California, the surprises didn’t stop there. Their visit to California wouldn’t just be for the red carpet and the film’s premiere but for an incredible cast tradition: “a late-night guided walkthrough of the attraction that started it all,” Disney exposes.
“Giving them the opportunity to see behind the scenes is what builds the excitement,” said Alex, who helped lead this rare glimpse generally reserved for new Haunted Mansion cast. “I’m extremely happy that I had the opportunity to do that with them.”
These are memories these Cast Members will remember for the rest of their lives. As such dedicated parts of their respective Haunted Mansion attractions and to The Walt Disney Company, it’s exciting to watch the magic they so freely give to Guests, is being repaid.
