Walt Disney World Resort is making big waves in 2025 for adult guests. Despite its reputation as a family-friendly destination, the Central Florida Disney parks have increasingly leaned into offering experiences specifically designed for adult visitors, and the latest news out of EPCOT takes that commitment even further.
Earlier this month, Disney unveiled the name of the upcoming adult-only dining experience at EPCOT: GEO-82. The name is a nod to both the iconic geodesic dome of the Spaceship Earth attraction and the park’s opening date, October 1, 1982. This upscale, sophisticated lounge will cater exclusively to guests aged 21 and older, continuing Disney’s trend of offering more refined spaces for its adult audience.
GEO-82 promises to deliver a range of “modern and innovative” cocktails alongside “globally influenced” small plates. The menu and ambiance are sure to appeal to adult guests seeking a more mature, relaxing experience at EPCOT. While the lounge was previously described as a “zen space for families to gather and enjoy refreshments,” the latest details make it clear that GEO-82 will be exclusively for adults.
On Wednesday, Walt Disney World Resort officials shared some exciting new details about the new lounge with WDWNT. The space, located under the iconic geodesic sphere, will be accessed via a tunnel. Creatives behind the lounge also revealed that the drink menu will be “bourbon-heavy,” making it an even more appealing option for those who appreciate craft cocktails.
GEO-82 will have a “limited capacity,” and reservations will be required in advance. The official Walt Disney World Resort website describes the venue as a “sophisticated hideaway,” inviting guests to “experience global flavors blended with culinary artistry in classic cocktails and small plates.” The lounge is expected to open before summer 2025, though an exact date has yet to be announced.
GEO-82 isn’t the only new dining offering for adult guests at Walt Disney World Resort. This year, Magic Kingdom Park will also debut a family-friendly Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge in Adventureland, providing another space for guests of all ages to relax and enjoy a drink or bite:
