Filming for the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly been interrupted after Tom Holland suffered a “fall” on set, British tabloid The Sun reports.

While the exact circumstances of the accident are unclear, the actor sustained what sources describe as a “concussion” on Friday, September 12.

Per The Sun, an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 10.30 am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford.” They added: “An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.” A woman, believed to be a stunt double, was also hospitalized.

Holland is now taking a short break from filming as a precaution but is expected to return in the coming days. His father, Dominic Holland, attending a charity dinner in Mayfair, told The Sun that his son would be away “for a while.” Holland himself had been at the event, posing for photos with fiancée and Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, 28, but reportedly left early after feeling unwell.

While production is assumed to be temporarily halted, further details remain scarce. Sony, producing alongside Marvel Studios, plans to meet on Monday, September 22, to decide on the path forward. It remains unclear whether the delay will affect the film’s July 31, 2026 release date.
