A box truck or similar vehicle recently crashed into the entrance to Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Disneyland Park. Multiple Disneyland Resort guests and cast members shared their recollections of the incident on social media. Star Tours was one of Disney’s earliest collaborations with George Lucas, long before The Walt Disney Company purchased Lucasfilm. The attraction debuted at Disneyland Park in 1987, and within five years, it was replicated at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World Resort), Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. All four Disney parks updated the Star Wars simulator attractions to Star Tours – The Adventures Continue in the early 2010s, integrating characters from all nine Skywalker saga films.

Nearly 40 years later, the updated Disneyland Resort attraction still welcomes thousands of guests daily. Unfortunately, several Southern California Disney Park guests recently noticed some damage to the ride’s exterior. On Saturday, Redditor u/TheDisneyScoopGuy shared a photo of a large dent on the front of the entrance to Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. “At some point something crashed into the Star Tours sign at Disneyland,” the Disney Park guest wrote.

Disney Parks fans quickly speculated that a truck or construction lift, which Disneyland Resort cast members use during maintenance, deliveries, and other overnight work, could’ve hit the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue building. “I’ve seen trucks hit stuff left and right late at night,” u/NCreature commented. “Especially guys who aren’t used to driving through the park. I remember one night when a Coca Cola truck took out the string lights at DCA on the pier. Was a hell of a show.”

“Lol someone on some sort of lift got too close,” said u/Clear-Ad-7250. “I’d guess a scissor lift.” Another commenter claimed to be a Disney cast member who was present when the accident occurred, and said an employee driving a box truck hit the Tomorrowland attraction.

“I was there the night it got hit,” u/ston3dguy wrote. “It was a Disney box truck. You’ll sometimes see them on the road in Anaheim. They’re all white and have ‘Disneyland Resort’ on the doors.” Disneyland Resort hasn’t confirmed this account or shared a timeline for repairs to the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue building. The attraction is currently closed for refurbishment, so crews may repair the latest damage while it’s down. Have you spotted anything unusual at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort? We would love to hear from you in the comments!
