Are you planning on being in California this month and love The Little Mermaid? If so, you might be disappointed to find out that the Little Mermaid Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will be closing for refurbishment on January 10th, 2022.

It will be an extremely short refurbishment, though; it will be reopening on January 14th. It is not uncommon for rides to undergo short refurbishments to fix little things here and there and make sure everything is running smoothly.

This attraction had undergone a more extensive refurbishment and reopened in May 2021. This is how the attractions is described on the Disneyland website.

Clam Aboard!

Step into your waiting clam-mobile and float away into magical moments and unforgettable music from The Little Mermaid.

Wave hello to all the stars from the film—but beware of wicked witch Ursula—a towering tentacled figure 12 feet wide!

An Attraction Swimming with Music and Fun

Sail past Ariel’s gadget-filled grotto. Watch Sebastian the crab conduct a hot crustacean band. Sneak past a sinister eel-infested lair. Sing along to classics made famous in the movie, like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and “Kiss the Girl.”

It’s a musical shell-abration for all ages!

Know Before You Go

While this delightful adventure takes you under the sea, there is no actual water and you will not get wet.

One of the things that’s great about Disney is so many of the rides are for people of every age. There’s no such thing as a kids only ride at Disney. If you’re a fan of The Little Mermaid, you will love this, and no kids are needed to ride.

There is a ride designed the same way at Walt Disney World, but even if you have ridden that one before, why not also ride it at Disney’s California Adventure?
