The Walt Disney Company has had several changes in the last year. Bob Iger stepped back in his role as Disney’s Chief Executive Officer in November 2022. With the recent extension of his contract, now staying Disney’s CEO into 2026, changes continue to come to the company.
Last month fans saw Christine McCarthy, the Chief Financial Officer of The Walt Disney Company, step down. Thereafter, Disney experienced more layoffs to ESPN, although previously stated it would not be affected. After nearly 7,000 layoffs and a change in leadership, The Walt Disney Company could use some positive forward movement.
On July 18, 2023, The Walt Disney Company announced a new change in management, promoting Alexia Quadrani to Executive Vice President, Investor Relations for the company.
Alexia Quadrani at The Walt Disney Company
Quadrani most recently served as Disney’s Senior Vice President, Investor Relations for The Walt Disney Company, now earning the promotion to Executive Vice President. The promotion comes as some shuffles are made through the company due to layoffs and leaves. As executive vice president, Quadrani will have similar responsibilities to her previous role. Disney writes,
Quadrani will continue to serve as Disney’s primary information liaison to the global investment community, while working as a key advisor and resource to the company’s senior management team. Quadrani’s responsibilities include expanding the company’s relationships with sell-side and buy-side investment analysts, industry analysts, and investors worldwide; providing input on the company’s financial reporting activities; managing stock share administration; and leading ongoing engagement with the governance community and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) focused investors.
