Bring on the Disney sweets! One of my favorite parts, and truly many Disney Foodie’s favorite parts of visiting Disney Parks, is the food. So many treats are unavailable anywhere else but at the Parks, making you crave them that much more. Disney is always coming out with new, innovative ways to enjoy sips and bites like never before. While we know Disney chefs are always hard at work, the food they create is one of the many reasons to keep returning for more experiences (and food)!

One type of food Disney is well known for is sweets. Walking down Main Street, U.S.A., in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, you are engulfed by the smell of freshly baked cookies. If that’s not enough, Disney is home to the DOLE Whip, churros, and Mickey-shaped ice cream bars. But you can never have too much Disney or too much sweetness in your life. So, we welcome this new concept with open arms!

The Cake Bake Shop Bakery

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is opening at Walt Disney World’s Disney BoardWalk. Originally, the bakery was set to open later this year, but plans have changed. According to a post on X but Scott Gustin, an update was provided: The Cake Bake Shop would now open in early 2024 instead of late 2023.

A post from The Cake Bake Shop reads, “All of us at The Cake Bake Shop are eager to unveil the beautiful details and charm that are coming to Disney’s BaordWalk! As the excitement is building and our hearts are brimming with anticipation, we expect to open our doors early next year to welcome you to an unforgettable dining experience.”

The bakery will offer cookies, French macarons, brownies, dessert bars, pies, cheesecakes, and more, according to Disney. Furthermore, the shop’s website details both a table service restaurant and a bakery. “They will offer both savory and dessert menus, along with an afternoon tea service. All in a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort that guests know and love,” the website details.

With no further inclination on when the early 2024 opening will be, we will all be patiently waiting to try out these new delights.
