Top 10 Mind Blowing Experiences At Walt Disney World’s Epcot

Walt Disney World is home to four amazing theme parks which are filled to the brim with attractions, entertainment, dining, shopping, and more. Guests are sure to have a wonderful time in any of the four theme parks, but many especially love Epcot for its unique composition. The park is divided into two halves which come together to form a celebratory whole. The front portion of Epcot is home to Future World which celebrates the harmony of nature and technology and the rear is home to World Showcase which celebrates eleven different countries from around the world coming together as a global community. With such different halves, Epcot is a truly unique park that features many different experiences which should not be missed. While spending time in Epcot, guests can hang glide over some of the most beautiful locations in the world, dive into the oceans, travel into imagination, and travel the world. Here are the top ten mind blowing experiences to enjoy in Walt Disney World’s Epcot.


1. Spaceship Earth

One of the most classic and beloved attractions in Epcot can be found just inside the main gate in Future World. Spaceship Earth is housed inside the massive geodesic dome that is covered in futuristic silver triangles. The attraction brings guests from the beginning of time to modern day to celebrate the history of communication. Along the way there are plenty of gorgeous scenes brought to life by audio-animatronics and a wonderful narration by Judi Dench. Guests are sure to love the history and entertainment on Spaceship Earth including the dramatic finale where our miraculous spaceship is revealed.

2. The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Found in Future World West is a pavilion which invites guests to dive into the oceans with some familiar characters. The Seas with Nemo and Friends features an attraction of the same name which has guests board pink clam shells and relive the tale from the Pixar classic Finding Nemo. Guests can check out favorite characters like Nemo, Marlin, Dory, and Crush while experiencing moments from the film like the Eastern Australian Current, bouncing on jellyfish, and Bruce and his gang of somewhat friendly sharks.

3. Soarin’ Around the World

One of the most popular attractions in Epcot can be found in the lower level of The Land Pavilion in Future World. Soarin’ Around the World invites guests to buckle in for an amazing hang gliding experience over some of the most beautiful locations on the planet. Guests can dangle their feet over Sydney Harbor, the Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramids, and the Eiffel Tower and enjoy beautiful views which few get to see. Soarin’ Around the World is super popular in Epcot, so guests should definitely visit early in the day or book a FastPass for the experience.

4. Living with the Land

Also found on the lower level of The Land Pavilion in Epcot is an attraction which celebrates the beauty and wonder of the land. Living with the Land brings guests on a serene boat ride which at first showcases the many different environments in which the land can thrive. Guests then get a beautiful tour of massive greenhouses which are teeming with lush fruits, vegetables, and plants of all varieties. Living with the Land may often be overlooked in favor of the nearby Soarin’ Around the World, but it is definitely a mind blowing experience in Epcot!

5. Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Guests who are looking to tap into the power of their imaginations should definitely visit the whimsical Journey Into Imagination with Figment in Future World. The attraction invites guests into the Imagination Institute which is hosting an open house showing off their sensory labs. While the tour begins innocently enough, Figment the purple dragon soon gets involved and all sorts of imaginative things begin to happen. Figment shows guests that imagination works best when set free on this mind blowing attraction in Epcot.

6. Mission: SPACE

Epcot is home to the perfect attraction for those who have always dreamed about going into space. Mission: SPACE brings guests into the International Space Training Center where they are invited to train for the very first mission to space. After being assigned the roles of Engineer, Navigator, Commander, and Pilot, guests are off on their mission where they encounter all sorts of thrills and surprises. Since Mission: SPACE can be a rather intense attraction, guests are offered two different versions to enjoy. Those looking to enjoy the full intensity can join the Orange Team and blast off to Mars. Those looking for a tamer version of the attraction can join the Green Team and orbit Earth and check out the beautiful views.


7. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Another very popular attraction in Epcot can be found in the rear of Future World East. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet brings guests into the world of motor vehicles and invites them to create their very own SIM cars in the design studio. Guests can then test out their designs on the track and see how they rate in Power, Responsiveness, Capability, and Efficiency. While the entire experience of Test Track Presented by Chevrolet is great, the final outdoor joy ride at top speeds is a favorite of many guests!

8. American Adventure

World Showcase is home to plenty amazing pavilions, including its host pavilion which can be found straight across World Showcase Lagoon. The American Pavilion is home to an amazing attraction which is sure to blow the minds of guests. The American Adventure celebrates the history of the American people from the pilgrims to modern days. The show is a moving and patriotic combination of history shared through a narration by Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, audio-animatronics, beautiful sets, music, artwork, and a show stopping finale.

9. Frozen Ever After

Save the time… FastPass this one! Frozen Ever After is a family-friendly boat ride that took the place of the former Maelstrom and follows a similar track, winding through multiple experiences up and down the river. It’s a fun attraction with beautiful surroundings, top notch animatronics, and of course… the forever popular Frozen characters and songs to sing along with!

10. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth

Each day in Epcot comes to a close with a mind blowing nighttime show that is sure to amaze guests. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth occurs on World Showcase Lagoon and symbolically gathers guests around the fire to share a story of how all people are united as one. The show combines beautiful music, a massive moving globe, pyrotechnics, dancing water, fireworks, laser lights, and more for a show that is sure to be the perfect way to end a day in Epcot.
