Top Quick-Service Restaurants with Outdoor Seating at Walt Disney World

Get ready for a magical experience in Walt Disney World! Since the theme parks reopened in the summer of 2020, amazing and safe adventures still await in all of the parks and Disney Springs. While many of the table-service restaurants are open for business, guests may feel more comfortable dining outdoors at a quick-service eatery. The mild Florida climate makes this a very convenient option, and a wide variety of the dining establishments offer safe and shady outdoor seating areas. Walt Disney World went one step further to keep guests distanced from each other and allows your meal to be ordered via the Mobile Order option on the Disney Parks app. When your meal is ready, you just need to show your order number to the cast member, pick up your tray, and you are ready to go!   Take some time to rest and refuel during your park day by checking out my list of top quick-service eateries that are great choices for a delicious meal.

1. Regal Eagle Smokehouse

The next time you find yourself strolling through the beautiful American Adventure area in Epcot’s World Showcase, stop for lunch or dinner at the Regal Eagle Smokehouse, a new addition to this pavilion which replaced the Liberty Inn. Mouth-watering aromas of barbeque and comfort foods waft through the air and tempt guests walking by. The menu offers delicious options like pork ribs, smoked chicken, and brisket sandwiches. Wash it down with a great craft beer on tap. The lovely outdoor seating area is shaded, and tables come conveniently equipped with a roll of paper towels for after your tasty meal. The smoker is also located outside, making this a fun place to eat.

2. La Cantina de San Angel

If you’re interested in a more international-inspired meal, check out the quick-service option located in the Mexico area of the World Showcase. Grab a seat under the covered pavilion overlooking the picturesque World Showcase lagoon and enjoy choices like chicken or beef tacos, empanadas, nachos, refreshing margaritas, sangria, and several varieties of Mexican beer.

3. Harambe Market

NOTE: Check the My Disney Experience on operating hours for Harambe Market. This location tends to open and close based on crowd levels.

Wander through the lively Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and you’ll find the Harambe Market, a collection of food stalls offering African-inspired dishes like ribs and chicken bowls, grilled chicken and rice, and African beer and cocktails. The large covered seating area is set back from the hustle and bustle of the walkways, and it’s a great spot to escape the sun or a wait out a rain shower while enjoying a meal.

4. Flame Tree Barbecue

A perennial favorite in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue makes its presence known on Discovery Island with its tempting scents of pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, and baked beans. The outdoor seating here is one of the best in all of Walt Disney World, offering patrons a seat under one of several pavilions down by the water or at a table by the scenic fountains. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal while looking at Expedition Everest and the Asia area of the park.

5. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

An overlooked gem of the Magic Kingdom, Sleepy Hollow Refreshments offers many of my favorite things! Stop by for Mickey waffles or a fruit waffle sandwich for breakfast, or enjoy a chicken waffle sandwich or corn dogs for lunch or dinner. For dessert, satisfy your sweet tooth with a sugary funnel cake. The best part about this eatery is that the seating area is situated in the shadow of Cinderella Castle, allowing diners to enjoy magical views while they eat.

6. Woody’s Lunch Box

Mosey on back to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a fun dining adventure. The menu offers comfort food favorites like brisket melts, smoked turkey sandwiches, and grilled three-cheese sandwiches. Breakfast bowls are also on the menu for early-morning parkgoers. The colorful tables are covered with bright umbrellas and feature whimsical details, making this a great choice for any meal.

7. Chicken Guy!

The Town Center section of Disney Springs is where you’ll find Chicken Guy!, a quick-service option made famous by Guy Fieri. Headliners include chicken tenders and sandwiches to dip into 20 different sauces, and don’t forget the delicious milkshakes and zesty fries. Grab a seat outdoors and your food will be delivered to you.

8. The Polite Pig

If you’re in the mood for pulled pork, ribs, and or mouth-watering chicken, stop by the Polite Pig, also in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. The outdoor seating area features an impressive outdoor bar to enjoy while waiting for your meal to be delivered to your table.

About Melissa Fegely

I have been a professional writer for over 18 years with degrees in Biology and English. I am a lifelong Disney fan and a Disney Vacation Club member of over nine years. Having visited Walt Disney World several times growing up, I really caught the Disney bug after many trips with my husband. Now I am happily addicted to taking our son to Walt Disney World as often as possible and watching him experience the magic and Mickey Bars as he grows up. Traveling to Walt Disney World twice a year, I enjoy attending the Flower and Garden festival held in the spring and strolling around the World Showcase, as well as exploring all of the hidden gems that all four parks have to offer. I love helping my family and friends plan their next Disney trips based on my experiences. I also enjoy reading, swimming, traveling, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I grew up in Southwestern Pennsylvania, attended Shippensburg University, and current live in suburban Philadelphia with my husband, son, and two cats.
