Trader Sam’s Is OPEN & Disney Cast Members Celebrate!

Aloha, Disney lovers! We’re thrilled one of our very favorite Walt Disney World Resorts, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, is now officially open! While the resort’s Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Villas have been open to DVC members for some time, the resort remained closed to all guests, until yesterday’s reopening (July 19). Guests are now able to stay in one of the stunning new Moana-themed rooms, as well as enjoy resort favorites like dining at the newly reopened ‘Ohana. And what makes a reopening even more exciting? A drink to go along with the celebration! We’re not talking about just any drink, but one from the ever-so-popular Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. That’s right, Trader Sam’s surprised us all by reopening their doors yesterday. Disney Cast Members took to social media to share a couple of photos as they celebrated the lounge’s reopening.

As shared via Walt Disney World Cast & Community Facebook on July 19: “We are celebrating some awesome foodie news today — Cast Members welcomed Guests back to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace, which reopened today at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! These Cast Members look like they are ready to make some memories! There are a few minor changes, such as the renaming of a couple popular beverages, but overall the Trader Sam’s experience is just as fantastic as ever. Be sure if you’re looking to enjoy this lounge, you arrive an hour before opening (usually 3pm) to get on the list. This lounge is small to say the least – but the memories made here are plentiful!
