A transportation incident at Disneyland Resort was captured on camera this week, adding to a recent string of operational disruptions that have drawn attention both inside and outside the parks. The incident occurred near a guest drop-off area and was shared online shortly afterward.
While Disney parks are designed to operate with precision, unplanned events periodically occur. In recent months, several guest-related and environmental incidents have circulated on social media, highlighting the challenges of managing large crowds in a high-traffic destination.
Disneyland has seen its share of such moments. Video footage and eyewitness accounts have increasingly shaped public awareness of incidents that previously might have gone unnoticed beyond those present.
Recent examples include arrests tied to guest behavior, weather-related disruptions, and infrastructure issues. Together, they have contributed to ongoing discussions about safety, enforcement, and operational resilience at major theme parks.
Earlier this year, a guest riding a mobility scooter was arrested at the park entrance for public intoxication. The incident, which was recorded by bystanders, quickly spread online and prompted renewed attention on conduct policies.
Elsewhere on Disney property, law enforcement responded to an incident at Disney Springs, where a man was arrested and later charged with trespassing after causing a disturbance at The Polite Pig restaurant.
In December, police were called to Disney’s Contemporary Resort following a violent altercation between two sisters inside a hotel room. The incident resulted in both individuals being detained.
Operational disruptions have not been limited to guest behavior. Earlier this month, a tree collapsed on Main Street, U.S.A. during Sweethearts Nite amid poor weather conditions, temporarily affecting park operations.
Bus Incident Reported Near Downtown Disney
The most recent incident involved a bus operating near the Downtown Disney drop-off area at Disneyland Resort.
A guest shared images on Reddit showing a bus that appeared to have struck a light pole, knocking it to the ground. According to the post, the pole remained illuminated despite being fully toppled.

“The whole light pole fell and surprisingly it’s still working. Didn’t get too close to it in case of exposed wire or anything but what a sight [to see],” the guest wrote. “Quality is kinda eh since I just pulled out my phone so nothing amazing.”
The post did not indicate whether any injuries occurred, and Disneyland Resort has not issued a public statement addressing the incident or confirming service impacts.
Images of the scene circulated across social media platforms, where users speculated about possible damage and safety concerns. No official cause for the collision has been disclosed.
Transportation incidents within the resort area are relatively uncommon but can draw attention due to the volume of guests moving through drop-off zones each day.
Transportation Services Face Broader Changes
The bus incident comes as changes are underway within the Anaheim-area transportation network serving Disneyland visitors.
The Anaheim Resort Transportation system, known as ART, has long provided shuttle services connecting hotels, parking areas, and major destinations throughout the resort district. The system is operated by the Anaheim Transportation Network.
ART buses transport guests from the Toy Story Parking Area to Disneyland Resort at no charge. Additional paid routes connect nearby hotels, the Anaheim Convention Center, and other locations.
That service is now set to conclude. In a statement posted on its website, the Anaheim Transportation Network confirmed plans to wind down operations.
“After an extended evaluation of our current and future financial position and exhausting all options, ATN will begin an orderly wind down of operations,” the statement said. “This transition will be implemented in a manner to allow for coordination and transparency as services are responsibly concluded.”
The announcement has raised concerns among guests who rely on the service for convenient access to the parks, particularly during busy travel periods.
