It’s time to treat yourself and plan a magical getaway to the beautiful Sunshine State, where pixie dust fills the sky at Walt Disney World Resort. Have questions and need to speak with a Disney Cast Member but don’t have the time to wait on Disney’s notoriously long customer service line? No problem!

Here’s the trick: having a better chance of getting through to a Cast Member… even when Disney says it’s unavailable.

The very best part about calling Walt Disney World is the hold music. It’s filled with classic and new Disney tunes that bring a little joy to the long wait to get through to a Cast Member. But, not all of us have time to wait on hold, and when at work or home, we find it much easier to seek out the chat option on Walt Disney World’s website.

If you’ve had multiple experiences like us, it’s common to go on Disney’s website only to find the chat feature is unavailable because all Cast Members are busy. But, what many don’t know is that there is a way around this that has worked the majority of the time for this avid Disney fan.

If a chat bubble doesn’t pop up when you’re navigating Disney’s webpage, or it’s shadowed out on the Help Center tab, it’s time to let Disney think you’re ready to spend some big money.

The trick to getting that coveted chat option with a Cast Member? It’s simple. Visit one of the Deluxe Resort Hotels pages. For example, click on “Places to Stay” and select one of Disney’s high-end Resorts, such as Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

If you start clicking like you’re going to make a hotel reservation at one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts by selecting a random date and room availability, that previously missing chat option may all of a sudden become available – normally popping right up on your screen with a Cast Member eager to help.

Ta-Da! The chat bubble appears, and a Cast Member is ready to “Chat Now!”

It makes sense, really. If Disney feels like you are on the site to invest some hard-earned vacation money in one of their stunning Disney Resort Hotel rooms, they are eager to assist as needed.

Of course, when you begin chatting, you can ask whatever questions you need help with in the first place. From tickets and Disney Park Pass questions to Walt Disney World dining reservations and more, there’s no need to chat about staying at a Deluxe Resort Hotel unless that’s what you’re seeking help for.

It’s a small trick that has been especially helpful for us Disney regulars! Keep in mind that Walt Disney World also offers a chat feature via the My Disney Experience App, but we haven’t found a great way to speed up that Cast Member wait time in the app.

We have experienced moments when this chat trick doesn’t work every time, but we will say the majority of the time, it has successfully gotten us through to chat with a Cast Member. Happy chatting, Disney fans!
