The Disney Park That You Didn’t Know Offered Refillable Beer Specials

If there is one thing Disney adults love, it’s all of the specialty cocktails, beer, and wine selections around the theme parks and Resorts. With everything from beer flights at EPCOT’s annual festivals to boozy DOLE Whip floats found in several locations at the Resort, there are lots of drinks for the 21+ crowd to enjoy at the Walt Disney World Resort.

One thing that Disney Parks tend to lack, at least when it comes to alcoholic beverages, is drink specials. Where other theme parks and entertainment venues sometimes offer specials and deals, whether it be on refills, or a larger souvenir cup making a drink a better value, Disney World is noticeably lacking. (Not to mention Walt Disney World’s flagship Park, the Magic Kingdom, still only serves beer, wine, and select cocktails at table service restaurants, with alcohol of any kind unavailable from snack kiosks and quick service restaurants.)

There is one Disney Park; however, that is making waves when it comes to refillable beer options, and we’ve got all the details you need to know before your next trip.

In addition to its four theme parks, and Disney Springs, Walt Disney World is home to two water parks; Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. The latter recently reopened from its annual refurbishment (meaning Blizzard Beach is now closed for the foreseeable future) and with its reopening comes the beer specials you need to know for your next trip.

Two of the Park’s quick-service dining locations, Typhoon Tilly’s and Leaning Palms, offer special prices on beer refills. Full menus for both locations are available on Disney’s official website, and a look at the pricing from signage in the Park was recently shared to Twitter by @kyleohio:

Pricing for the initial beers and refills depends on whether it is a premium or craft beer ($14 with $8 refills) or domestic beer ($12 with $7 refills.) With limited drink specials at Walt Disney World, $7 or $8 for 20 oz. beer refills are actually quite a deal (by Disney pricing, at least!)

We should also note that refillable beer specials at Typhoon Lagoon are limited to the same day as your original purchase. While the souvenir cups are certainly reusable, your first beer of the day will be full-priced if you were to visit Typhoon Lagoon multiple times during one trip to Disney World.

As for other specials around the Resort? Nothing really compares to the refillable beer options at Typhoon Lagoon, but you may find beer flights a slightly more affordable way to try several different beers. Flights are available at Baseline Taphouse at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as many of the outdoor kitchens during EPCOT’s annual festivals. While not beer, Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar on Disney’s BoardWalk does offer 32 oz. mixed drink specials that are also often a better value than purchasing multiple smaller drinks.
