The Walt Disney World Resort is heating things up this summer with new experiences at the theme parks, like TRON Lightcycle / Run in the Magic Kingdom and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival running through July 5, 2023.
The Resort has also added new dates and special events for its After Hours series, including H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. While H2O Nights begin in May, Disney has now confirmed that the water park will reopen earlier in the season giving Guests more time to cool down at Typhoon Lagoon.

Disney’s two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach both operate seasonally with each Park closing for an annual refurbishment. In years past, both water parks typically reopened for the summer season so Guests would have the option of choosing to spend the day at either one. Since the COVID-19 pandemic shaped operations at the Walt Disney World Resort, only one water park has been open at a given time.
The Disney Parks Blog has officially announced that Typhoon Lagoon water park will reopen on March 19, 2023.

With the reopening date confirmed for Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach is now set to close on March 18, 2023 for its annual refurbishment.
When Blizzard Beach reopened last year, Disney surprised Guests by adding new thematic elements from Frozen (2013) including Anna and Elsa and “Snowgies.” As such, fans have also speculated that Typhoon Lagoon will reopen with a retheme as well, though Disney’s latest blog post does not indicate that a retheme is happening.
