One of Disney World’s Most Popular Souvenir Sippers Is About to Return

What comes to mind when you think about your favorite Disney souvenirs? For many Disney fans, the best merchandise comes in the form of spirit jerseys, Minnie ear headbands, pins, and plushes, but some of the most popular items actually come in the form of souvenir sippers and popcorn buckets.

Disney often uses souvenir sippers and popcorn buckets to offer limited edition items, as many of the most sought after pieces are sold during special ticketed events and seasonal festivities. While this has historically made sippers and popcorn buckets a hot item for Disney merchandise resellers to scoop up, Disney World has been much better at restocking the souvenirs and offering them for more than one season or event.

Last year, one of the most popular souvenir sippers came at a sort of unexpected Disney Park when the Resort debuted the Typhoon Tilly Sipper at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. The sipper, as its name suggests, featured the Park’s icon that is somehow seldom seen in merchandise and was a hit with Guests throughout the summer.

If you missed our chance to pick up the Typhoon Tilly Sipper last summer, you’ll be excited to learn that Disney has brought back the souvenir for another season (along with several other new drinks and snacks when the water park reopens.)

Along with the return of the Typhoon Tilly Sipper, Disney announced that the water park will also introduce a new boozy DOLE Whip and a delicious flatbread when it reopens late this month. The Typhoon Tilly Sipper is available as an add-on with any fountain beverage for a limited time, while the Kungaloosh Kooler, a new rendition of DOLE Whip Strawberry swirled with rum orange juice, strawberry Fanta, and blackberry brandy will be available for the season.

The latest snack to arrive at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be the Barbecue Chicken and Grilled Pineapple flatbread that Guests will be able to order at Leaning Palms. Additionally, a new Pineapple Upside Down Cone will arrive when the Park opens at Happy Landings. And, the fan-favorite Hei Hei Cone with DOLE Whip Pineapple and Raspberry will be back as well!

It is important to note that the Typhoon Tilly Sipper is listed as being available for a limited time with no further details noted in Disney’s initial announcement. To be fair, it was only available for a limited time last year, and it’s about to return to the Park in less than two weeks. (And, we have seen Disney continue to restock souvenir sippers and popcorn buckets that were originally listed as “limited.”)

When Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon reopens for the season, availability of the Typhoon Tilly Sipper will likely be listed in the My Disney Experience app, so it should be easy to keep track of whether or not it is still in stock. If you do happen to miss it, though, we would not be surprised to see it return next year, too!
