Universal Orlando is a popular tourist location seeing hundreds of guests come through the parks daily. Universal is home to two iconic theme parks: Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Beyond its world-class theme parks, Universal Orlando offers a vibrant entertainment district known as Universal CityWalk. This bustling location serves as the resort’s epicenter of dining, shopping, and nightlife, captivating guests with its eclectic array of offerings.
Universal Orlando guests walking through CityWalk can choose from gourmet burgers at Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar to fajitas at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food. CityWalk boasts a diverse array of dining options to satisfy every palate. After dinner, Universal guests can catch a live concert at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe or try to escape from the Escape Room.

But Universal CityWalk is more than just a location for foodies and music lovers. Guests who love to shop will enjoy CityWalk. Guests can browse a plethora of retail outlets, from trendy boutiques like Quiet Flight Surf Shop to souvenir locations like Universal Studios Store.
Recently, whispers have begun circulating within the Universal Orlando community, hinting at an exciting new development on the horizon. Speculation is that several stores within CityWalk may soon be closing their doors to make way for a highly anticipated addition, rumored to be SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. Now, we have confirmation, at least on closures.

Two beloved stores at Universal CityWalk, Quiet Flight Surf Shop, will be closing on April 15, 2024, and the Cinnabon store will shut down on April 29, 2024.
Universal Orlando has not officially confirmed these rumored concepts, with only the closure of the surf shop and Cinnabon locations being announced. Construction for this project may span several months, as interior walls will require careful removal to expand the retail spaces.
Citywalk has been undergoing several changes. The Universal Legacy Store closed down to make room for an Epic Universe information store.

Epic Universe will be Universal’s third theme park and will have different lands such as How to Train Your Dragon, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Classic Monsters, and much more.
Universal Studios Hollywood is already home to a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and guests can help Mario and Luigi save Princess Peach or hop in the kart and join Bowser for a spin.
