Disneyland Paris is gearing up to shut down more locations than they have in quite some time, with Studio 1 closing for a major refurbishment, and now, we have multiple closure dates listed.

Walt Disney Studios Park, located in Marne-la-Vallée, France, is one of the two theme parks at Disneyland Paris. It is dedicated to the world of cinema, showcasing the magic of filmmaking and offering guests immersive experiences inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar movies (Cars, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Ratatouille, and more). One of the iconic locations within Walt Disney Studios Park is Studio 1.

Studio 1 serves as the park’s main entrance and is designed to resemble a classic Hollywood soundstage. It’s not only a gateway to the park but also an attraction in its own right, offering guests a glimpse into the glamor of old Hollywood. The interior of Studio 1 is lavishly themed, with intricate details reminiscent of a bustling movie studio from the golden age of cinema.

Within Studio 1, guests can find a variety of food and shopping options to enhance their park experience. Some of the dining locations include Restaurant En Coulisse, which offers a selection of classic American dishes in a Hollywood-inspired setting, The Brown Derby, Hep Hat Corner and more.

In terms of shopping, Studio 1 features several themed boutiques where guests can find exclusive Disney merchandise, souvenirs, and collectables. From clothing and accessories to toys and home dĂ©cor, there’s something for every Disney fan to take home as a memento of their visit.

Overall, Studio 1 serves as an immersive and atmospheric introduction to Walt Disney Studios Park, setting the stage for the cinematic adventures that await guests inside. Its thematic design, dining options, and shopping opportunities make it a memorable and special location within the park, inviting guests to step into the enchanting world of movies and storytelling. For many, Studio 1 really sets the tone and story of the park, so its impending year-long closure will certainly leave the park experience feeling a little lackluster.

Disneyland Paris reporter DLP Report (@DLPReport) shared the recently announced closures in Studio 1 that will take place on April 24, 2024. Initially, we only knew that the overall Studio 1 closure would happen this April, but specificities were not included.

All locations inside Studio 1 are set to close at the end of the day on April 24. This includes:
– En Coulisse Restaurant
– Legends of Hollywood
– Hollywood Jewel Box
As a result, Studio 1 is likely to be closed for its year-long transformation starting April 25.

As DLP Report is predicting, it is likely that we will see the entirety of Studio 1 shut down officially on April 25, 2024; however, Disney has not yet confirmed this.

Disney has warned guests who are visiting past this April that they may want to look outside of Walt Disney Studios Park, whether that be at a resort, Disney Village, or Disneyland Paris Park, if they want a more economical dining option. With Studio 1 shutting down, a lot of quick-service dining options will also be lost, making it harder for guests to grab a quick bite to eat.

Walt Disney Studios Park does have a lot of table service options, but the only quick-service locations that will be left is Stark Factory and Super Diner in Avengers Campus. There are other grab-and-go food locations, especially by Ratatouille – The Adventure: Attraction, however, guests will not find ample seating in these spots.

Studio 1’s construction is also just the tip of the concrete-cracking iceberg at Walt Disney Studios Paris. At the moment, there is a major expansion ongoing toward the back of the park. A new Frozen-themed land is being worked on, as well as a Tangled attraction. The new land has taken a major demotion from its previous anticipated look, which would have also included Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and a Toy Story Playland expansion. Now, there will be no Star Wars and a small garden area for Toy Story.

Disneyland Paris did announce that they would be upgrading their Star Tours attraction today, and now Mandalorian and Ashoka storylines will be added.
