If you have a Walt Disney World trip on the calendar this weekend, look at the road closures before you set your alarm. The 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend arrives at Walt Disney World Resort this week, and with it come early-morning road closures that will affect runners, spectators, and regular park guests trying to get around the property. Disney has released the full list of closed roadways, along with transportation schedules for the races and the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
The closures center on EPCOT, where the races start and finish, and they spread out to World Drive, Buena Vista Drive, Osceola Parkway, and several backstage roads. Most of them run from the middle of the night into mid-morning on Saturday and Sunday. If you plan to drive to a park, make an early breakfast reservation, or get to the airport on either morning, these closures could change your route or add time to your trip. Knowing what is closed and when will make the weekend much easier, whether you’re lacing up your running shoes or just trying to make your rope drop time at Magic Kingdom.
Here’s everything you need to know about road closures, race transportation, parking, and ride-share drop-off for Wine & Dine weekend.

Saturday Morning Road Closures for the Wine & Dine 10K
The Disney Wine & Dine 10K takes place on the morning of Saturday, October 24. The following roads will be closed:

- Woodpecker Lane (Yellow Lot): 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- World Drive South Ramp to Epcot Center Drive East: 3:45 AM to 7:30 AM
Saturday’s closures are fairly contained. Most roads reopen by 7:30 AM, with a couple of backstage routes staying closed until 9:00 AM.
Sunday Morning Road Closures for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon
Sunday, October 25 is the big one. The Half Marathon covers far more ground than the 10K, so the closure list is much longer and several roads stay closed later into the morning:
- Backstage Lane North at Red Lot Entrance: 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM
- Buena Vista Drive East (Osceola Parkway to Cypress Drive): 4:00 AM to 9:30 AM
- Buena Vista Drive West Ramp to World Drive South: 4:00 AM to 9:30 AM
- Crush Lot Exit Bridge to Epcot Center Drive East: 3:30 AM to 10:00 AM (modified)
- Epcot Center Drive West (Vacation Club Way to World Drive): 4:30 AM to 9:00 AM
- Epcot Center Drive West Ramp to World Drive South: 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM
- Floridian Way South at Bear Island Road Exit Ramp: 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM
- Osceola Parkway West Ramp to Buena Vista Drive East: 4:00 AM to 9:30 AM
- Overpass Road West at Bonnet Creek: 3:00 AM to 10:30 AM
- Epcot Parking Exit Loops to Epcot Center Drive East: 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM
- Vista Boulevard Ramp to World Drive South: 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM
- Woodpecker Lane (Yellow Lot): 3:00 AM to 10:30 AM
- World Drive North Ramp to Buena Vista Drive: 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- World Drive South Ramp to Epcot Center Drive East: 3:45 AM to 10:00 AM
- World Drive South Flyover Ramp: 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM
- World Drive South to Osceola Parkway: 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM
With World Drive, Buena Vista Drive, and Osceola Parkway ramps all affected, Sunday morning is when guests who aren’t running are most likely to feel the impact. If you’re staying near Disney Springs or the Magic Kingdom area and planning an early start, give yourself extra travel time or use Disney transportation.

Complimentary Transportation to the Expo
Disney is offering complimentary event transportation to each race and to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Service is available from all Disney hotels, Shades of Green, the Swan Hotel, the Dolphin Hotel, and the Swan Reserve.
Expo transportation runs on the following schedule:
- Thursday, October 22: 8:15 AM to 8:30 PM
- Friday, October 23: 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM
- Saturday, October 24: 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM
If you still need to pick up your bib, Thursday has the longest window by far, and Saturday’s service ends mid-afternoon.
Race Day Transportation to EPCOT
Each race has its own transportation schedule between the resorts and EPCOT:
Disney Wine & Dine 5K (Friday, October 23)
Continuous service in both directions from 2:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Disney Wine & Dine 10K (Saturday, October 24)
Resorts to EPCOT from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM. EPCOT to resorts from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon (Sunday, October 25)
Resorts to EPCOT from 2:30 AM to 5:00 AM. EPCOT to resorts from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The cutoffs for the 10K and Half Marathon matter. If you miss the last bus to EPCOT at 5:00 AM, you’ll need to find your own way there, and many of the surrounding roads will already be closed.

When to Arrive
For Friday’s 5K, runners and spectators are strongly encouraged to arrive one hour before their projected race start time. For the 10K and the Half Marathon, Disney recommends arriving at the EPCOT parking lot no later than 4:00 AM. That’s an early wake-up call, but with roads closing between 3:00 AM and 4:30 AM, cutting it close isn’t worth the risk.
Parking, Ride Share, and Drop-Off
Race parking will be available in these EPCOT lots:
- Crush (rows 201 to 216)
- Dory (rows 401 to 417)
- HeiHei (rows 101 to 110)
- Moana (rows 301 to 310)
- Wall-E (rows 501 to 513)
Parking is free before 7:30 AM, so arriving early saves you money as well as stress.
If you’re using ride share for the 5K or 10K, a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone will be set up next to the HeiHei lot. The Half Marathon works differently, with the location changing throughout the morning:
- 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM: EPCOT ride share loop
- 4:30 AM to 10:30 AM: Charter lot
- After 10:30 AM: back at the EPCOT ride share loop
Tell your driver the right location before you leave, especially if you’re being picked up after the race while the Charter lot is in use.
Planning Around Wine & Dine Weekend
Wine & Dine weekend is one of runDisney’s most popular events, and it lands right in the middle of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and the Halloween season, which already makes late October a busy time at Walt Disney World. Runners have a packed schedule from Thursday’s expo through Sunday’s finish line, and everyone else on property should expect extra traffic and early morning detours around EPCOT.
The easiest way to get through the weekend is to plan ahead. Check your routes for Saturday and Sunday mornings, lean on Disney transportation when you can, and build in extra time for anything scheduled before 10:30 AM. Whether you’re chasing a medal or a Dole Whip, a little planning keeps the road closures from catching you off guard.
