Disney popcorn bucket collectors may want to start preparing now, because the 2026 holiday season is bringing two designs that look like instant sellouts.

Limited-edition popcorn buckets have become serious business at Disney parks. The most popular releases can attract long lines, sell out quickly, and appear on resale websites almost immediately. Throw Christmas, Mickey Mouse, and Toy Story into the mix, and the demand can get even crazier.

Now, Disney fans have gotten an early look at two holiday popcorn buckets that could become some of the biggest collectibles of the season.

Disney Fans Just Got an Early Look at Two Holiday Releases

A Hong Kong Disneyland fan recently shared a first look at two popcorn buckets coming to the resort for the 2026 Christmas season.

While the preview came from Hong Kong Disneyland, it has quickly become relevant to Disney fans in the United States. At least one of these designs is already confirmed to make its way to Disneyland Resort in California.

The preview includes a Mickey Mouse train popcorn bucket and a Toy Story gingerbread house popcorn bucket. Both lean heavily into Christmas, but they take completely different approaches.

The Mickey train resembles a colorful holiday locomotive with a white, teal green, and red color scheme. Mickey sits on top wearing a Santa hat, surrounded by Christmas presents. The compartment beneath him opens to store popcorn.

Disney packed even more characters into the design. One side features a reindeer alongside Pluto, who gets into the Christmas spirit with his own set of antlers.

As cute as that bucket looks, the Toy Story design may have even more collector appeal.

The Toy Story Gingerbread House Could Be the Real Showstopper

Rather than turning a single character into a popcorn container, Disney designed the second bucket to resemble an entire gingerbread house.

The roof appears covered in white icing, while colorful candy-like decorations give the house a classic Christmas look. Disney then filled the exterior with familiar Toy Story characters and holiday details.

Woody and Bo Peep appear together on one side of the house. Bo Peep’s sheep stand nearby, dressed like tiny snowmen.

Elsewhere, one of the Little Green Aliens appears beside a Hamm cookie, adding another playful detail to the design.

But Disney saved one of the bucket’s best features for the chimney.

Another Little Green Alien sits inside it, and this one is interactive. Fans can press the figure to make the Alien move, giving the bucket an extra feature beyond simply storing popcorn.

Disney has not confirmed this particular bucket for Disneyland Resort in California at this time. Still, that probably won’t stop American Disney fans from hoping it eventually makes the trip overseas.

Thankfully, they won’t be completely left out of the holiday popcorn bucket fun.

Disneyland California Is Getting the Mickey Train

Disneyland Resort has already confirmed that the Mickey Train Light-Up Popcorn Bucket is coming to California for the 2026 holiday season.

That means the Mickey design previewed for Hong Kong Disneyland won’t remain exclusive to that resort.

Disney has also confirmed an important feature of the bucket: the Mickey Train lights up.

Disneyland has not only focused on popcorn buckets for its holiday merchandise, either. A Holiday Stitch Christmas Tree Sipper is also on the way.

Stitch merchandise regularly gets plenty of attention from Disney fans, and combining the character with a Christmas tree design could make that sipper another tough item to find once holiday crowds arrive.

The new releases will join a Disneyland popcorn bucket lineup that is already unusually crowded with collectible designs.

Disneyland Already Has Plenty of Popcorn Buckets to Hunt Down

Guests visiting Disneyland Resort right now don’t have to wait until Christmas to start collecting.

Several popcorn buckets are currently available, with Halloween releases making up a major part of the selection. At the moment, guests can find:
