Disney World Issues 3-Hour Early Closure Notice for Magic Kingdom During Thanksgiving Week
Walt Disney World Resort has issued yet another early closure notice for Magic Kingdom Park next month. This news, which affects the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor attraction, comes just days after Disney announced that Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid would close at 7:00 p.m. on November 5. The Central Florida Disney park has not provided a reason for either of the premature shutdowns in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.
Disney Announces Early Closure of Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

This week, Walt Disney World Resort updated its official operational calendar to reflect that the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor attraction will close at 6:00 p.m. on four days during the busy Thanksgiving week at Magic Kingdom Park. The affected dates include:
- Tuesday, November 24
- Wednesday, November 25
- Friday, November 27
- Saturday, November 28
On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will close at its normal time, 9:00 p.m. The interactive show inspired by Monsters, Inc. (2001) will open at 9:00 a.m. as usual throughout the week, even though it closes three hours early most nights.

As with the early Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid closure on November 5, Walt Disney World Resort has not said why Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is closing at 6:00 p.m. for four nights between November 24 and 28. It could be for minor maintenance or a private event; the theater space is often used for trick-or-treating during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Walt Disney World Resort gives the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor comedy show a holiday spin during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party events, which take over Magic Kingdom Park starting at 7:00 p.m. on select nights in November and December. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on November 24, 25, and 27; it’s unclear whether the holiday-themed version of the Tomorrowland show will still go on despite the early closure of the regular attraction.
