10 Best Table Service Restaurants for Last Minute Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World

Disney fans know that the best way to experience Walt Disney World is by planning in advance.  But what if you find yourself on an impromptu Disney vacation?  Will you be able to find any table service restaurants to eat at?  Luckily, the answer is – yes! While it’s always best to book as far ahead as you can, there are actually many restaurants on property that will likely be able to seat you with last-minute reservations, or even if you walk in looking for a table.  Here are our top 10 restaurants at Walt Disney World for last-minute dining reservations.

10. Yak and Yeti

We’ve had great luck securing day-of reservations at Yak &Yeti Restaurant at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.  There’s a ton of seating here on two floors, which may have something to do with our good luck!  We love the southern Asian decor here – it reminds us of our travels in India and Nepal.  And there’s such a wide variety of food here that we always walk away satisfied!

9. Tony’s Town Square

We recently discovered Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on our last WDW trip.  We had no reservations, but were able to walk in and immediately be seated for lunch.  We’d definitely recommend this Magic Kingdom restaurant for a last minute dining reservation, or even a walk-in!  Bonus: if you can snag a seat out on the verandah, you’ll have a pretty spectacular view of Main Street USA!

8. Yachtsman

This is one of the best steakhouses on property, but amazingly, Yachtsman Steakhouse in Walt Disney World’s Yacht Club Resort is also one of the best places for a last-minute dining reservation.  We’ve been able to secure reservations a day or two ahead here!

7. Ale and Compass

Another great option in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is Ale and Compass (where the former Captain’s Grille was located).  This upscale yet relaxed lighthouse-themed restaurant is great for last-minute reservations, as it seems to be flying under the radar for now with guests.  You’ll want to take advantage of this before it becomes harder to get reservations!

6. Maya Grill

We love Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and were delighted to discover its Mexican-themed table service restaurant, Maya Grill.  We were able to walk in and get a table several times during our stay, so if you’re looking for some great Mexican food and don’t have a reservation, head to Maya Grill!

5. 1900 Park Fare

You may be surprised to see that 1900 Park Fare, at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, makes our list.  While advanced reservations are recommended here, it’s actually not that difficult to snag a table with short notice.  So go ahead, make that last-minute reservation and enjoy some quality buffet time with your favorite Disney characters!

4. Citricos

The Grand Floridian is apparently a hotspot for last-minute dining reservations, because our next entry can also be found at this resort: Citricos.  This upscale restaurant is beautiful, and has a great view of the resort grounds.  We love that it’s often possible to walk in or make a last-minute dining reservation here.

3. 50’s Prime Time Café

If you’re looking for a great home-cooked meal at Hollywood Studios but haven’t made a reservation, don’t worry!  The 50’s Prime Time Café is a great option for last-minute dining reservations.  But make sure you eat all of your dinner, because Mom and the extended family here won’t let you eat dessert until you do!

2. Most Restaurants at Swan and Dolphin

We were happy to find that almost any restaurant in Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort can typically seat you with a last-minute dining reservation.  There are a variety of table service options here (Il Mulino, Kimonos, Todd English’s Bluezoo, Garden Grove, and more!), and many of them will generally be able to accommodate you if you haven’t made advanced reservations.

1. Nine Dragons

Nine Dragons Restaurant in the Chinese pavilion at Walt Disney World’s Epcot is one of the most underrated restaurants on property.  This means it’s rarely difficult to get a last-minute reservation here, and you may even be able to walk in a grab a table.  We love the ambiance here, the lack of crowds, the opportunity to practice Chinese calligraphy, and of course, the amazing Chinese food!

About Jason Dick

Jason is a Disney addict. Walt Disney World trips are an annual occurrence that his partner has had to come to terms with. In between Disney trips, he spends his time running the theatre company he started in 2007. As Artistic Director, he picks musicals to bring to his hometown of Hamilton, Ontario Canada that have never been produced in the area. Traveling is definitely a passion and in addition to his trips to the happiest place on earth, he and his partner also travel the world, most recently to India and Nepal. A carnivore by nature, Jason loves the incredible amount of steakhouses Walt Disney World has to offer - they are always at the top of his list for each and every visit.
