There are a ton of different table service dining location options at Walt Disney World, but some of them are extremely difficult to get. They are among some of the best dining locations on property, so it is easy to see why!  Here is our list of top 10 most difficult dining reservations to make at Walt Disney World:

10. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The restaurant might not seem like it would book up extremely fast, but it really does.  There aren’t as many table service locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and this location is definitely the most unique.  Guests get to dine inside “cars” that face a huge screen just like you are at the drive-in.  The food is amazing with a nice variety of options from salads to pastas to burgers and steaks.

9. California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This restaurant is an amazing location for date nights or special celebrations.  It is one of the Signature Dining locations at Walt Disney World and it is easy to see why.  The restaurant offers delicious California flavors, plus offers amazing views of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.  There is a dress code for this one, so guests will need to plan ahead for that.

8. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall – Norway Pavilion, Epcot

This location offers character dining with popular Disney princesses.  The food is a delicious Norway-inspired buffet, plus the opportunity to meet and greet with the princesses. It is typically a must visit for many of the kiddos out there who love to collect autographs and meet characters.

7. ‘Ohana – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

This is one of our top restaurants at Walt Disney World, and if you have dined there you likely completely understand.  No matter whether you intend to dine for breakfast or dinner, the reservations book up quickly and you have to act fast to get a good time slot, if any at all!

6. Chef Mickey’s – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

The restaurant added a lunch service so that it offers three meals per day, and it still remains extremely popular.  Guests are able to meet Mickey, Minnie and other classic Disney characters for all 3 meal services, plus enjoy delicious food.  Since the restaurant is located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, it has quick access to the Magic Kingdom, too.

5. Victoria & Albert’s – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

This one is extremely difficult to get into.  It is the most expensive and prestigious dining location in all of Walt Disney World and it typically stays booked up.  If you can get a reservation for one of the various dining room or meal offerings, then you have to pounce on it.  This location has a very strict, upscale dress code so guests will need to pack and plan to attend the meal.

4. Le Cellier Steakhouse – Canada Pavilion, Epcot

Le Cellier offers some of the best steaks in all of Walt Disney World.  They are aged to perfection and offer various delicious accompaniments, too.  The restaurant has a very romantic feel and is one of the Signature Dining locations on property.  This one is definitely a “must experience” location and you should act fast to get a reservation.

3. Cinderella’s Royal Table – Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom

This is definitely among the most difficult reservations to get in all of Walt Disney World.  The restaurant is located inside of Cinderella Castle, which is a prime location for guests to want to dine.  The meals also offer character meet and greets, which are very popular among guests.  If you want to dine here, you have to be ready to make your reservations as quickly as possible.

2. Be Our Guest – Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom

This is the other location that is among the most difficult reservations to get.  You have to pounce on this one right away, and it should probably be the first reservation that you try to book right at your 180 day mark.  The restaurant books up almost instantly for all three services, with dinner being the most popular.  It is definitely worth it, but you have to act quickly and diligently to pull it off!  It is not very often that this location is able to take any walk-ins.

1. Storybook Dining at Artist Point

Artist Point has been an excellent dining option at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. With a recent makeover, Artist Point now features “Storybook Dining” – a character dining experience. Book your dinner reservation well in advance to be visited at your table by Snow White and the cutest of the dwarfs, Dopey! You’ll also have the opportunity to meet one of the evilest of Villains – The Evil Queen. Because of this restaurant’s new character dining experience and rare characters, you’ll want to book 180-days in advance to secure a dining reservation.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
