10 Disney Characters I Would Invite Over For Thanksgiving Dinner

If you can’t be at Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving, wouldn’t it be fun to have the characters come to you?  It might be unrealistic, but we had fun thinking of what characters we’d invite over for Thanksgiving Dinner!

1. Adventure Mickey and Minnie

If you’ve visited Adventure Mickey and Minnie at the Adventure Outpost at Animal Kingdom, you know that they’ve traveled all over the world! I’d love to spend a holiday dinner hearing about all of their adventures and getting inspired to plan my own travels!

2. Potts, Lumiere, and the dishes from Beauty and the Beast

I’m hoping they’d turn the tables and make me the guest at my own dinner! Some singing, dancing, and a healthy serving of the “grey stuff” would make an awesome Thanksgiving dinner.

3. Genie from Aladdin

The Genie would be the perfect dinner guest. Not only would he entertain the other guests with his “can your friends do this?  Can your friends do that?” act, but he could fix the turkey if it’s overcooked and undue the burning when I forget the pies in the oven!!

4. Sleepy the Dwarf

Ok, so it would be great to have all of the dwarfs, but Sleepy is my most-wanted! Turkey always makes me tire, but with Sleepy there, taking a nap after dinner won’t seem weird at all!

5. Chip and Dale

I think Chip and Dale would bring some beautiful acorn garlands to decorate the Thanksgiving table. But secretly I’m hoping they may gather pecans for the pie too!

6. The Swedish Chef Muppet

The Swedish Chef is a Thanksgiving expert – search the internet for him and Thanksgiving and you’ll find several hilarious sketches. He will be sure to entertain all of the other guests, but it might be a vegetarian dinner because his turkeys always seem to escape!!

7. The Lost Boys from Hook

I think instead of inviting them to my Thanksgiving Dinner, I’ll try to invite myself to theirs!!! The table might look empty at first, but I know they will imagine up an epic feast and I no one will have to do any cooking!

8. Ariel

Thanksgiving Dinner with Ariel would be so fun! She would have a great time exploring all of dishes, utensils, and food on the table.  We’ll just need to make sure she doesn’t brush her hair with a dinglehopper – err I mean fork!

9. Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother

If she can turn a pumpkin into a carriage, I’d love to see what she does with our pumpkin pie!

10. Winnie the Pooh and Piglet

Winnie the Pooh once said, “What could be more important than a little something to eat?” Pooh is great at sharing deep, meaningful quotes that would be perfect at Thanksgiving dinner to help us all get into a thankful mood.  And Piglet knows what it means to be thankful, as one of his stories told us, “Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.”

About Katie D

I grew up in New Jersey in a family where the word “vacation” was synonymous with “Disney World.” After a few years of visiting regularly, my family became Disney Vacation Club members which meant we visited even more! Going to Disney always felt kind of like going home, and some of my best childhood and teenage memories occurred there. Now that I live in Jacksonville, FL I am excited to be a short drive from this magical place and look forward to making new memories for years to come.
