10. The Cheese Studio

Calling all cheese lovers!  The Cheese Studio is back, and better than ever.  There’s a sweet creation this year, in contrast with the mouth-watering caramelized onion and Boursin tart from last year.  This time around, you can enjoy a Boursin cheesecake with maple bourbon cream, caramel and pecan crunch.  (Yes, please.)

9. Disney Du Jour Dance Party

You might not think of Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival as the most kid-friendly event on property.  But before you leave the kids behind, check out the new family-friendly options on offer this year.  We love the sound of the Disney Du Jour Dance Party that happens every Friday and Saturday evening.  Your tiny dancers will love this interactive experience!  They can show off all their dance moves as they hang out with Disney characters and have the time of their lives.

8. Candy Sushi Workshop

You don’t have to be a kid to be intrigued by the new Candy Sushi workshop at Food and Wine this year.  Located at Sunshine Seasons at Epcot, it’s put on by Skittles and Adventures by Disney, and it promises a ton of sweet fun!  Guests will learn from an actual Disney chef how to roll delicious candy snacks in sushi-inspired shapes.  Plus, it’s free for all ages!  Best sushi ever??  You decide!

7. Butternut Squash Ravioli

Fear not, vegetarians – Walt Disney World’s Food and Wine Festival has plenty for you to enjoy!  Even carnivores will be tempted by the Butternut Squash Ravioli at the Wine and Dine Studio, which is our number one pick for vegetarians this year.  It’s smothered in a brown butter vinaigrette, and sprinkled with parmesan cheese and pumpkin seeds.  You might just be back for a second helping.

6. Eat to the Beat Acts

The ever-popular Eat to the Beat Concert Series has some impressive new acts to add to its lineup this year.  Some of our favorite new acts include Glass Tiger, Smash Mouth and 98 Degrees. You’ll find full details online if you want to know who’s performing while you’re in Epcot.

5. Junior Chef Kitchen

Another completely complimentary activity that is new this year at Food and Wine is the Junior Chef Kitchen.  If you have a budding chef in your party, this is the spot to be!  Every Sunday, kids can try their hand at creating their own chef-worthy pancakes, supervised by a Disney chef.  Best of all – they get to eat what they make!  Now if that’s not motivation, we don’t know what is.

4. Sunday Brunch with the Chef

This event sounds so perfect, it’s hard to believe it’s only now debuting and Food and Wine!  Combine three of your favorite things by treating yourself to Sunday Brunch with the Chef.  You’ll get to meet a celebrity chef (you can check out the full line-up online) and pose for a photo, and you’ll also enjoy a delicious brunch buffet and wine toast while you listen to your celebrity chef dole out a heaping of handy cooking tips and advice.

3. Festival Center Stage

Curious about how your morning cup of joe ended up in your mug?  Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company will tell you all about the amazing journey that your coffee undergoes to make it to you every day.  You’ll never see coffee the same way again!  Festival Center Stage is where the coffee action is, and you’ll also be able to purchase your own Disney specialty coffee to take home with you.

2. Taste Your Way Around the World Merchandise

You may recognize the new merchandise line at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival this year.  Taste Your Way Around the World is back, and it’s better than ever!  There are a ton of new products for this year.  We’re all about the adorable Mickey-shaped bowl, and our favorite mouse appears on lots of other merchandise, along with Chef Remy and Foodie Figment.  You’ll find kitchen products as well as apparel.  This line was very popular in the past, and we can’t wait to snag some new Taste Your Way Around the World mementos!

1. Light Lab Creations

At Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, food and drinks don’t just taste good, they look fantastic, too.  And there’s nowhere else on property that offers drinks that look quite this awesome!  The Light Lab creates yummy signature drinks that also just happen to glow in the dark.  Their new offerings this year include three new drinks: Phosphorescent Phreeze, InfraRED, and UltraVIOLET.  We can’t think of a more enLIGHTening drink experience in all of Walt Disney World!

About Jason Dick

Jason is a Disney addict. Walt Disney World trips are an annual occurrence that his partner has had to come to terms with. In between Disney trips, he spends his time running the theatre company he started in 2007. As Artistic Director, he picks musicals to bring to his hometown of Hamilton, Ontario Canada that have never been produced in the area. Traveling is definitely a passion and in addition to his trips to the happiest place on earth, he and his partner also travel the world, most recently to India and Nepal. A carnivore by nature, Jason loves the incredible amount of steakhouses Walt Disney World has to offer - they are always at the top of his list for each and every visit.
