10. Dine At Cinderella’s Royal Table

There is something extra magical about dining inside of Cinderella Castle, plus the opportunity to meet Cinderella and other characters.  This would be an amazing experience for any mother and daughter to enjoy together, while also enjoying a fabulous meal.  The experience is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with different menus at each.

9. Lounge By The Pool

A pool day is extremely relaxing and a great way to bond.  You can talk, read, splash around together, etc.  It is a great way to enjoy time together without your phones and electronics so you can just enjoy everything going on around you.

8. Go For Afternoon Tea

The Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers a formal afternoon tea.  You can snack on delicious treats while sampling the teas.  It is an amazing, very unique service.  It is on the pricey side, so be prepared for that going into it.  It is worth it though, especially if you have never been before.

7. Shop Until You Drop

If you are both shoppers, then you should definitely head over to Disney Springs and shop to your heart’s content.  There are so, so many different shopping locations and merchandise to look at that you can stay busy for hours just walking around all of the shops.  Don’t worry about carrying your bags with you since you can send them back to the resort or to package pick-up.

6. Enjoy A Salon Makeover

There are various salons around Walt Disney World were queens and princesses can get a total makeover and pampering.  You can get your hair done and other services to get yourself glammed up.  You could even do this before going out to special meal or event, too.

5. Schedule Girls’ Photo Session

Photos are probably my favorite souvenir from any experience. Photos capture all of the amazing memories and give you something to treasure forever.  You can schedule a formal photo session while you are at Walt Disney World or simply make a point to take selfies and PhotoPass photos throughout your day so that you have tons of great photos to commemorate your time and memories together.

4. Go For A Princess Meal At Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is located at the Norway pavilion in the World Showcase area of Epcot.  It is one of our favorite princess dining locations since there are so many different princesses there.   The location is open for breakfast, lunch or dinner, so you can pick the service that sounds the best to you and be sure to have your camera ready to capture the amazing pictures and memories.

3. Enjoy One Of The Dessert Parties

I can’t get enough of the dessert parties. You get amazing views of the evening entertainment while also feasting on delicious themed desserts and beverages. All of the desserts are unlimited, so you don’t have to be shy about giving them all a try.  Share a mother/daughter toast and enjoy the amazing show together at one of the most magical places on Earth.

2. Pick-a-Pearl In Epcot

Pick-a-Pearl is so much fun.  From the Japan pavilion within the World Showcase are of Epcot, you can select the oyster and then in a fun experience that is almost a stage show, it will be opened for you so that you can find out what color pearl you get and then it will be packaged up for you.  You can use the pearl however you want.  You could even make mother/daughter necklaces.  The Epcot location is our favorite to experience Pick-a-Pearl.

1. Get Pampered At Senses

If you would like to experience the ultimate relaxation together, then definitely consider massages and other pampering sessions from Senses.  Senses is the largest of the spas located at Walt Disney World.  You will find it over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and you definitely want to consider this as a stop for your mother/daughter day.  There are a variety of packages and options to choose from, too!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
