While many guests love a Disney vacation and regularly visit, many don’t realize just how massive the property is. Walt Disney World features four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, dozens of resorts, and countless dining options. With so many things to see and so, day to day tasks that come together to keep Disney running form an immense operation. From thousands of Cast Members to the number of props on each attraction, hearing statistics about the size of Disney is always impressive. Here are ten numbers that tell guests just how big Walt Disney World is.
10. 47 Square Miles
The Walt Disney World Resort is so huge that it occupies roughly forty seven square miles of land. All of that remaining land is either being preserved or awaiting exciting new expansions in the future!
9. More than 25 Resorts
Many guests have a favorite Disney Resort that they refer to as their “home” and return to time and time again whereas others like to bounce around and try a different resort on each vacation. Those who like to try something new each time have plenty of options to choose from as Disney is home to twenty-five plus resorts! Guests can choose from Value resorts like Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Moderate Resorts like Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter and Disney’s Caribbean Beach, or Deluxe Resorts like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
8. Kilimanjaro’s Size

6. Cast Members Galore!
With so many different jobs at Walt Disney World, it is no surprise that they employ an insane number of Cast Members. Over seventy thousand Cast Members are employed at a given time at the resort and they hold positions including janitors, ride operators, and food servers. Cast Members are always friendly and love talking to guests, so take some time to thank them for all that they do on a Disney vacation!
