The Magic Kingdom is the theme park in Walt Disney World that mot guests automatically picture when imagining their vacations. With the beautiful Cinderella Castle as its centerpiece, the park is full to the brim with magic for guests of every age. Spanned out over several different areas of the park which each have their own themes are attractions, dining options, shopping locations, and entertainment. With so many things to see and experience while exploring the Magic Kingdom, guests might get a little overwhelmed when trying to determine what they absolutely have to see and what they can skip. Some attractions are experiences are so awesome that they simply have to be done on each Disney vacation. Here are ten sensational experiences that guests must have at the Magic Kingdom.

10. Pirates of the Caribbean –

One of the most beloved experiences in the Magic Kingdom offers guests the chance to channel their inner Captain Jack Sparrow and take to the seas on a swashbuckling adventure. Pirates of the Caribbean features loveable characters who show guests how to properly ransack a coastal town. Featuring the iconic song “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me)” and classic scenes like the pirates stuck in jail trying to retrieve the key from a nearby dog, this attraction is a sensational experience that simply can’t be missed.

9. Haunted Mansion –

This attraction is perhaps the most loved and popular one amongst Disney fans and takes guests into Gracey Manor for a close encounter with nine hundred and ninety nine happy haunts. Guests move through the mansion taking in eerie effects, classic scenes like the graveyard and ballroom, and interacting with ghostly characters like the Ghost Host and Constance the murderous bride. With so many amazing effects and such a classic story, guests can’t miss this sensational experience in the Magic Kingdom.

8. Peter Pan’s Flight –

This classic Fantasyland attraction takes guests to the skies with Peter, the Lost Boys, and the Darling children as it retells the tale from the animated Disney film. Guests love the sensational aerial views of London at nighttime and the splendors of Neverland including Mermaid Lagoon and Hook’s pirate ship. With a beautiful finale depicting the ship golden with pixie dust and flying off in the distance, guests are sure to love this sensational attraction.

7. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train –

This is the newest attraction in the Magic Kingdom and it is located in New Fantasyland. Featuring flowing hills and beautiful waterfalls, guests are offered sweeping views of the surrounding area while gently swinging around each turn in a mine cart. The attraction takes guests into the mine where the seven dwarfs work and offers up a glimpse of Snow White and the dwarfs dancing in their cottage in a recreation of the iconic scene from the animated classic film.

6. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin –

Fans of the Toy Story universe will love this competitive attraction where guests can enter Star Command and aim at hundreds of targets to help defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg. With so many targets to aim for, guests will definitely find themselves returning to this attraction multiple times to beat their friends and family and to try and best their own high score.

5. Jungle Cruise –

This adventurous cruise down the exotic rivers of the world takes guests into some interesting locations guided by a corny joke cracking skipper. Guests will get up close and personal with elephants, crocodiles, and the eighth wonder of the world- the backside of water! Guests should just be weary that they don’t end up making a deal with Trader Sam who is offering two of his heads for one of theirs.

4. Splash Mountain –

This thrilling water based adventure takes guests into the world of Br’er Rabbit who is looking for more adventure in his day to day life. He sets off on a journey and along the way guests are introduced to tons of singing critters in the Laughing Place, the fishing hole, and eventually the Briar Patch. The attraction culminates in an exciting drop straight into the Briar Patch to escape the conniving Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear.

3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad –

A sensational experience in the Magic Kingdom that can’t be missed is a ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad lets guests climb aboard a runaway mine train as they zip around the mountain and through some ominous caves. Sharp eyed guests can spot great views along the way of nearby Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America.

2. Space Mountain –

The final mountain in the Magic Kingdom offers up the sensational experience of blasting off into space! Guests love the fast paced journey through the galaxy in near darkness and find themselves running back to the line to experience it again and again. Guests who aren’t sure whether they are up to riding Space Mountain can get a sneak peek of the attraction from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.

1. Happily Ever After –

Happily Ever After Fireworks has replaced Wishes, but has thankfully lived up to the beautiful display of fireworks, lasers, projection, music, and storytelling Magic Kingdom is known for. With 18-minutes of “heart, heroism, and humor”, Happily Ever After will send you on your way with your own “happily ever after” ending to an unforgettable Magic Kingdom day!
