9. Smell of Popcorn

For many guests, the magic that they are in Walt Disney World hits them the second that they step out of the train tunnel and onto Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. One of the biggest parts of this experience that is such a simple pleasure to enjoy is the mouthwatering smell of popcorn from the nearby carts. While the smell is delightful at all times and always makes guests feel as though they are in the parks, there is something extra special about the smell while visiting Main Street for the first time each visit.

8. Hands Up on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Guests of every age love taking a whirl on the wildest ride in the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. One of the best ways to enjoy a simple pleasure on this attraction is by simply putting your hands up! There is no quicker way to feel like a kid and start laughing than to throw those hands up on a runaway train!

7. Seeing Cinderella Castle

Much like stepping onto Main Street for the first time, the first glimpse of Cinderella Castle signifies for many guests the official start of their Disney vacations. However ,a simple Disney pleasure involves just stopping and spending a few moments just enjoying the view of the castle. Sure guests can look at pictures of Cinderella Castle at home, but one of the greatest pleasures of being in Disney is being able to enjoy it in person!

6. Singing with Pirates

There is no adventure on the high seas as thrilling as Pirates of the Caribbean. From the moment guests lay eyes on the fort and enter its queue various versions of the classic song “Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me)” can be heard. One of the greatest simple pleasures guests can take part in is singing along with those crafty pirates as they ransack the Caribbean town! While the song might be stuck in heads for days to come, the experience is totally worth it.

5. Seeing Fireworks –

Fireworks have always been the perfect way to wrap up a day at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios! Happily Ever After Fireworks is a beautiful display of fireworks, lasers, projection, music, and storytelling Magic Kingdom is known for. Epcot Forever is stunning with a “wow” display of fireworks above the World Showcase lagoon. And finally, Hollywood Studios gets in the act with their Star Wars Galactic Spectacular fireworks that makes everyone a Star Wars fan! While Animal Kingdom is not in the fireworks loop because of the noise disturbing the animals, we do love the Tree of Life Awakenings and Rivers of Light Nighttime Show.

4. The Monorail’s Safety Warning

One of the most beloved sound bites from Walt Disney World can be found on the monorail system. Whether traveling to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, a monorail resort, or the Ticket and Transportation Center, guests can hear the infamous safety spiel and recite it right along with the narrator. All together now: “Please stand clear of the closing doors. Por favor maetangase alejado de las puertas.”

3. People Watching

A great way to spend a few moments relaxing and enjoying a simple Disney pleasure anywhere in the parks is to stop and people watch. This allows guests a few moments to really slow down and take in their surroundings, enjoy the atmosphere, and maybe notice some details they would have otherwise overlooked.

2. Riding Dumbo

One of the most classic and beloved attractions in WDW is Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Whether guests are two or eighty two, a whirl with Dumbo and Timothy Mouse is a requirement for each trip no matter what. Part of the appeal of this attraction is the simple pleasure of soaring high above Storybook Circus, enjoying the soft breeze, and taking in the sights of the circus and nearby Fantasyland.

1. Spending Time with Family and Friends

There is no greater simple pleasure in Disney than enjoying the company you are with. Guests are in Disney to make memories for years to come, and there is no better way to do that than to spend time enjoying the parks with the people you are with. Whether with friends or family, guests should take some time to have fun, snap photos, and simply enjoy their days together.
