10. One Size Really Does Fit All
We had been using MagicBands for years before realizing that they’re adjustable. There’s a tear-away layer that allows you to shrink the size of the band and make it quite a bit smaller, for those younger guests in your party. This feature is also perfect for adults with smaller wrists, for whom the larger MagicBands might be a bit large and bulky.

7. Leave the Credit Card at Home
We all know how time-consuming and inconvenient it can be try to hunt around for a wallet while juggling armloads of merchandise and trying to keep track of little ones. Well, your MagicBand is the solution! Just leave the credit cards and cash in your room, and instead, attach a credit card to your MagicBand when you check in at your resort – then you can pay for purchases by simply swiping and entering a PIN. There are lots of security features as well to allow you to personalize and control charging privileges.

Who doesn’t love free stuff? We sure do! And though not much in Walt Disney World is free, MagicBands definitely are, as long as you’re staying on property or are an annual pass holder. Your MagicBand can be shipped to you before your trip (though not to all countries), or you can pick it up when you check in at your resort. Not staying at a WDW resort? Your MagicBand is the key that opens all the magic of Walt Disney World parks. You’ll never need to worry about lost theme park tickets, because your tickets are attached to your MagicBand. All you need is a tap from your MagicBand and a quick fingerprint to identify you as the rightful owner of your MagicBand, and abracadabra, the parks are yours to explore! FastPasses work the same way – the time is coded into your MagicBand, so just touch it to the sensor when your FastPass+ time arrives, and let the adventure begin.
4. Ready for Your Close-up?
MagicBands are your link to fabulous Walt Disney World photos captured throughout the parks! Once you purchase Memory Maker, you’ll get unlimited downloads of all of your Disney shots. A simple tap of your MagicBand will link each photo with your online account, for you to explore at your convenience. You’ll be able to get endless family photos at PhotoPass spots, plus you can share, view and download your favorite photos online.
3. Reusable
Whether you’ve gotten attached to your current MagicBand, or simply don’t want to get a new MagicBand every time you visit Walt Disney World for environmental reasons, you can rest easy – MagicBands are reusable. You can also have more than one active MagicBand at a time. Go online to the MagicBand section of “My Profile” to manage (activate, deactivate, and customize) your MagicBands.
2. Secure and Safe
The ease with which MagicBands can access your room, park tickets and other valuable information might cause some guests concern: is your information secure? MagicBands use radio frequency, or RF, technology, and can be read by readers throughout Walt Disney World. Disney has put extensive security controls in place to protect privacy, since the outset of the development of the MagicBand – and MagicBands are completely voluntary. And if you lose one? Just deactivate it online or with the mobile My Disney Experience App, and notify your hotel or guest services, who can get you a replacement.

One of the best things about a MagicBand is that you never have to take it off, if you don’t want to. MagicBands are completely waterproof, which means you can wear them to go swimming, on a water ride, or even in the shower. Leaving your MagicBand on throughout your day, no matter what magical activity you’re enjoying, makes it much less likely that you’ll lose it or forget it in your hotel room – and much more likely that you’ll be able to constantly enjoy the ease and convenience that it provides!
