9. A Toy Story Strategy
Toy Story Mania in Pixar Place is one of the most popular attractions in the park and wait times can easily reach upwards of two hours on busy days. The best way to be able to enjoy the attraction multiple times without wasting hours waiting on line is to follow a simple strategy. Guests should book FastPasses for Toy Story Mania as far in advance as possible and return at their given time for one experience, and also head straight for the standby line first thing in the morning. Right as the park opens, guests should get right on line for Toy Story Mania where they will experience a pretty low wait time compared to any other time of day.
8. Echo Lake Crates
A great detail for movie fans to discover can be found near Min & Bill’s Dockside Diner on Echo Lake. Piled near the quick service dining location are several crates that are labeled and ready to be shipped. Guests who look closely at the names, addresses, and numbers on the crates will find several references to classic Hollywood films like Casablanca, The Producers, and Citizen Kane.
7. Single Rider Line
One of the best tricks that guests can use to save time when visiting Walt Disney World is to take advantage of single rider lines. These separate lines can be found at several popular attractions throughout the parks and usually have a wait time that is a fraction of the normal standby line. The catch is that groups who wait on the single rider line will be separated at the boarding area of each attraction. As long as guests don’t mind experiencing an attraction separately, they can save tons of time by using the single rider line. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith features a single rider line which can save tons of time that would have otherwise been spent waiting on the standby line!
6. A Muppet Portrait
Guests love visiting the hilarious Muppet Vision 3D where they can enter into the world of the Muppets and watch a demonstration which brings the spirit of 3D to life. While the show itself is great, the preshow area is not to be missed as it is bursting with props and assorted items that portray puns, visual gags, and corny jokes. Guests in the preshow area can look overhead in the rafters of the room to find a portrait of the late Jim Henson in Muppet form which is a fitting tribute to the man who created the Muppets!
5. R2D2’s Ears – Star Tours
The Adventure Continues is one of the most thrilling attractions in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it offers guests the chance to join the Rebel Alliance after finding out that they are transporting a rebel spy. The queue of the attraction features many great details that pay homage to the different characters and worlds that guests are familiar with, but there is one detail which contains a Hidden Mickey! In one room of the line, guests will see a large screen which features the shadows of various characters and people moving past on the other side. Every now and then, R2D2 glides past and guests can spot the classic mouse ears that he is sporting!

4. Line Up Early!
On select nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater comes to life with the production Fantasmic! The show features projections, live action, Disney music and characters, pyrotechnics, and special effects to take guests into Mickey’s imagination for an epic battle between good and evil. While the amphitheater is massive, it quickly reaches capacity on busy days in the park. Guests who want to secure the best seat possible and ensure that they can enjoy Fantasmic! should line up on Sunset Boulevard at least an hour before show time.
3. An Eerie Award
The creepiest attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror which takes guests into the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel and makes them the star of their own episode of The Twilight Zone. As guests pass through the hotel’s lobby, they quickly realize that it was abandoned in a hurry many years ago and that something sinister occurred. There are dozens of props and details throughout the lobby and attraction which pay homage to the television series, and there is one detail in particular in the lobby that warns guests of the journey that is about to come. Mounted on a wall near the front desk is an award from AAA granting the Hollywood Tower Hotel 13 Diamonds, which seems normal until guests realize that the real award only goes to 5 Diamonds!
2. Prepare For “The Force”
There is a strong presence of the force at Hollywood Studios… the Star Wars force! With the March of the First Order, Jedi Training, Star Tours (mentioned above), Star Wars Launch Bay, and the incredible nighttime experience – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular – it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by these epic options. Star Wars fan or not, prepare to get a dose of all things Star Wars when visiting Hollywood Studios!
