12. The Mountains –

Guests who are looking to enjoy classic Disney attractions with big thrills should definitely make it a priority to conquer the Walt Disney World mountain range! The first four mountains can be found in the Magic Kingdom beginning with Splash Mountain in Frontierland. The attraction has guests follow Br’er Rabbit on his quest for more adventure, with close encounters with Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear and a drop into the Briar Patch along the way. Right next door is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which invites guests on the wildest ride in the wilderness on a runaway mine train through the town of Tumbleweed. New Fantasyland is home to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on which guests board mine carts which sway from side to side while whipping through the mountain and visiting the dwarfs in their mine. The final mountain in the Magic Kingdom can be found in Tomorrowland and is an adventure that is out of this world. Space Mountain blasts guests into orbit for a galactic adventure in near darkness that will leave them coming back for more. The final mountain in Walt Disney World is Expedition Everest in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The attraction brings guests deep into the Forbidden Mountain where they find themselves scrambling to escape the clutches of the fabled Yeti.

11. Spaceship Earth –

The attraction which welcome guests into Epcot is housed in a massive geodesic sphere covered in futuristic silver triangles. Spaceship Earth has guests board Time Rovers to travel from the beginning of time to present day to celebrate the history of communication. Guests pass by important moments in history like the burning of Rome, the Renaissance, man landing on the moon, and the invention of the printing press. Spaceship Earth culminates with an interactive feature where guests answer several questions to create a skit of their future filled with wonderful technology and innovations.

9. Toy Story Land –

Toy Story Land is open at Hollywood Studios and we for one can’t get enough of the fun atmosphere and incredible attractions. The “oldie” but goodie in the land, Toy Story Mania, is still as popular as ever with it’s 3D, arcade style ride. Slinky Dog Dash however is stealing the spotlight! Slinky Dog Dash is a family-friendly coaster where Slinky Dog takes guests on dips and turns throughout Andy’s backyard. After the coaster, get your Alien fix! That’s right, the little green Aliens from Toy Story have their own attraction known as Alien Swirling Saucers. Smooth spins and turns make for a fun attraction that we dare you not to smile on! Outside of these attractions, Woody’s Lunch Box is a great quick-service option with tasty eats. Take in the sights and sounds of the land as you let your inner child out to play!

8. Kilimanjaro Safaris –

Guests who visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom can celebrate the beauty of the world around them and learn about the importance of conservation. One of the most entertaining and beautiful attractions in the park is Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa. The attraction brings guests into the Harambe Reserve for a two week safari through the forest and African savannah. Along the way, guests can spot beautiful animals like lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, flamingos, and hippos. The best part about Kilimanjaro Safaris is that each experience will be totally different thanks to the unpredictable nature of live animals!

7. Pandora – The World of Avatar –

Pandora – The World of Avatar is the newest land in the Animal Kingdom theme park. Here you will find two extremely popular attractions known as Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. You can expect a thrilling ride on Avatar Flight of Passage as you climb aboard a Banshee (dragon-like creature) and ride through the beautiful World of Avatar. The Na’vi River Journey is a perfect family-friendly attraction as guests boat down river and see just how beautiful the Na’vi tribe’s rainforest is with bioluminescence lighting and the latest animatronics. Outside of these two attractions, the land is almost like an attraction itself with stunning beauty and ability to interact with guests – especially with the bioluminescence glow at night!

It’s an unforgettable Hollywood Studios moment!

3. Happily Ever After Fireworks –

Fireworks have always been the perfect way to wrap up a day at Magic Kingdom! With 18-minutes of “heart, heroism, and humor”, Happily Ever After will send you on your way with your own “happily ever after” ending to an unforgettable Magic Kingdom day!

2. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth –

Each day in Epcot comes to a close with Illuminations: Reflections of Earth lighting up World Showcase Lagoon. The nightly show gathers guests around the fire to show how we are all one through fireworks, special effects, pyrotechnics, laser lights, dancing water, and a beautiful score. There are plenty of amazing viewing locations surrounding World Showcase Lagoon, but guests should choose a spot an hour before the show begins since it is so popular!

1. Fantasmic! –

On select nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater is home to a wonderful show which captures the imagination of guests. Fantasmic! brings guests into Mickey’s imagination where a battle is occurring between good and evil. The show combines special effects, pyrotechnics, Disney characters and music, projected animation, dancing water, a giant dragon, and wonderful music to amaze each guest in the audience. Although the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater comfortably seats thousands of guests, Fantasmic! is extremely popular making it often full to capacity. About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
