12. Go to Space
Well, Astronauts can go into space… but for the rest of us, it’s something we can only do at Walt Disney World! Epcot’s Mission Space attraction gives guests the once in a lifetime experience of riding in a flight simulator and traveling through space. This experience can only be compared with actually going to space, something that most guests will never actually do in their lifetimes. If you’re looking for a tamer way to get to space at Walt Disney World, don’t forget about the classic attractions in Tomorrowland, such as Space Mountain and the Astro Orbiter. Of course, you could always go into space with the Star Wars force. Just check out Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
11. Become an Animator
Guests visiting Disney’s Art of Animal Resort are able to take a drawing class with a Disney artist! In this twenty minute class, guests are taught how to draw characters ranging from the classics like Mickey and Minnie, to newer favorites like Anna from Frozen or Baymax from Big Hero 6. The best part about the drawing class is that guest are able to take home their drawings as souvenirs.
10. Trade Pins
At Walt Disney World guests are able to trade pins with any cast member for any pins they have on their lanyard. While the cast member doesn’t have a say about what pins are traded to them, guest can trade any pins they want with them, making this an experience that can only can happen while making a trade at Disney.
9. Talk to a Turtle or Monsters
Guests can talk to Crush the turtle at The Seas with Nemo and Friends. They can also interact with the monsters of Monsters Inc. at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. These are two experiences that cannot possibly be had anywhere but Walt Disney World.
8. African Safari Without Going to Africa
At Kilimanjaro Safaris guests can climb aboard a safari truck and take a trip through various African environments to see animals in their natural habitat. Unlike an ordinary zoo, these animals can roam relatively free without being constrained by cages or behind glass. The safari attraction at Animal Kingdom is the only way to see so many animals in their natural environment without actually going to Africa.
7. See a Fire Breathing Dragon
Can you think of anywhere else that you can see fire breathing dragons? Ironically, there is more than one place at Walt Disney World where this dream can become a reality. If you’re looking to see this classic fantasy creature, be sure to see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios.

6. Go Back in Time
At the Walt Disney World Resort, you can go back in time in more than one way. In Animal Kingdom, you can visit the Dinosaur ride, and take a time rover back to the Cretaceous Period. In the Magic Kingdom, you can head down Main Street U.S.A., a turn of the century street, based on Walt Disney’s childhood town of Marceline, Missouri. In Hollywood Studios, you can take a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard to see the classic Hollywood that everyone knows but never truly existed.
5. Fly On The Back of a Banshee
Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the two attractions located in the new Pandora – The World of Avatar area within Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Prepare to straddle what feels somewhat like one of those motorcycles at an arcade, be secured in, and then using 3D screen technology, awesome 4D effects, and motion simulation – feel like you are literally flying on the back of a mountain banshee in the most exhilarating way. Your banshee (somewhat like a flying dragon) will soar through the sky as it takes you on the ride of a lifetime through Pandora – The World of Avatar.
4. Visit 11 Countries In One Day
Nowhere besides Walt Disney World is it possible to visit eleven countries all in one day. By taking a walk around World Showcase in Epcot, you can easily walk from country to country, all in a 1.7 mile walking distance.
3. See Tinkerbell Fly
Unless you’re watching Peter Pan, and in that case you’re not experiencing it first hand, Walt Disney World is the only place where you can see Tinkerbell fly. There is no other feeling that can compare to the experience of seeing Tinkerbell fly during Happily Ever After at the magic Kingdom.
2. Become a Princess or Pirate
At the Walt Disney World Resort, younger guests can be transformed into princesses and pirates at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Pirate’s League. Not only can these guests turn into pirates and princesses themselves, but they can go to attractions and shows where they can meet other Disney pirates and princesses, making for unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime.
1. Meet Disney Characters
There is nowhere else where you can meet your favorite Disney characters ,unless you visit one of the Disney parks. You can see them on TV, or you can even go to different shows (like Disney on Ice for instance) while you’re at home, away from the parks, but the only way to get some real one on one time with those characters is to get out there and plan a trip to Walt Disney World.
