5 Reasons We Absolutely Love Walt Disney World Resorts

Walt Disney World resorts are absolutely amazing, and hands down, the best resort experience. I can’t plan a Disney vacation and it not include a stay at one of the resorts. We have been fortunate enough to stay at most of them, across the various types of resorts. Here are the top 5 reasons why we absolutely LOVE Walt Disney World resorts:

5. The Magical Express service

It is intimidating trying to figure out where to go when you are in a different city, plus collecting your luggage, navigating the airport, trying to find a taxi/rental car, etc. The Magical Express service only offered to Disney resort guests allows you to head straight from your plane to the well mapped location. You will get taken right to your resort and won’t have to worry about your bags. Disney will make sure that they get put in your room for you, and you can go ahead and start playing. This saves you a lot of time and hassle and gets you to the parks quicker!

4. The amazing cast members

Disney cast members really do contribute greatly to the Disney experience. The cast members go above and beyond to greet, interact and make magic happen for guests. This is a level of service that you just don’t always see at other places, and it really does make you feel at “home” and comfortable when staying on property. The cast members welcoming you as you come and go, asking about your day, giving great advice on things to try, special treats and magic for your family…. It is all part of the Disney experience and what keeps us coming back time and time again!

3. The dining options

Disney World Resort is known for having delicious and unique dining options. There are many people who visit Disney World for the amazing food. When you stay at a Disney resort, you get to this dining right at your fingertips from the convenience of your own resort. The dining options differ by resort, so if dining is your thing, be sure to check the options for the resorts when you are making your choice. It may help you decide! All resorts also offer various room service options, so if you just want to relax in your room and enjoy your meal, you can still do that and still have delicious dining options. Plus you do have the option to add on the dining plan. The dining plan is only available to guests staying in one of Disney’s resorts, so be sure to check out the dining plan options available to you and determine if this would be the best fit for your family.

2. The unique and detailed themes

Disney goes above and beyond when it comes to theming. They ensure that every aspect of each resort perfectly fits the theme and helps to transport you to another place based on your interests. You can stay in the Polynesian and get the true island-feel experience, or the Port Orleans resorts where it’s like you are walking down the streets of New Orleans or Pop Century where you get to relive some of your favorite decades down to every fun detail. There really is something for everyone when it comes to the different themes, so take a look and see what your family is most interested in. Be sure to go and explore the other resorts, since they all have so much to offer.

1. The pools

The pools at the Disney resorts can almost be like waterparks all by themselves. Many of the resorts have multiple pools for you to enjoy, so that hopefully the pools will feel less crowds. Some pools have waterslides, and some pools even have giant water playgrounds. These playgrounds can keep kids busy for hours, and are so much fun! The pools are also themed to match the resort with characters and landscaping that keep the theme and magic alive even while enjoying the pool. I highly suggest that you plan pool time during your stay so that you can get some relaxation and fun pool time in. Your kids will definitely love it!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
